After that attack he needed to sac 20-40 probes to bolster his army. Such a stupid matchup. Agreed. I was about to say that Parting losing so much econ to the DT attack was a blessing in disguise because the final Colossus deathball battle in PvP is so important, you might as well just sac all your workers, get a 200/200 deathball, and crush your opponent because the smaller waves of reinforcements that your opponent can warp in from his econ advantage will just melt to the overwhelming amount of units you have left from the big deathball battle.

The way I see it, if that was really the case, then Yonghwa shouldn't have maintained such a high probe count for precisely the reason you mentioned (lower available supply for army due to 200 total supply cap). But I don't think that's what tripped him up. I believe Yonghwa also sent a stalker force to kill workers at Parting's bottom right base, and he needed those stalkers as part of his army. Secondly, Yonghwa looked like he didn't have a high enough gateway count (or second robo?) to be able to replenish his army quickly enough, especially after Parting began to engage and walked up to his natural.

In PvP when it gets to the 3+base vs 3+base situation you always ... always have to be ready for the max-out counter attack.

Actually I think Parting had more archons and tankers for colossi and I'm just saying his decision was so good because if he delayed it for a few more second he would have lost the game already.
