Ladies and gentlemen,
the registrations for the Iron Squid II qualifiers are now open.
You can register in two qualifiers: the one of the region you currently live in, and the open one. Each qualifier will be a single elimination bracket played in Bo3 until the Ro4 (Bo5). The finals will be Bo7.
The two players reaching the finals will get a slot in the main tournament and the winner gets $500 in addition to his spot.
The Qualifiers
Korea (on the KR server): 13th October
Europe (On the EU server): 14th October
America (On the NA server): 20th October
Open (On the NA server): 21th October

I have a little question. Most players couldn't participate to IPL5 qualifiers due to the fact they were on weekends and they were tournaments at the same time. Iron Squid could face the same problem here. WCS Asia and The GD Studio Invitational are on october 13/14 so players like Seed, Creator, Squirtle, Curious, HerO for Korea and LucifroN, ThorZaIN, Ret, NightEnD, MaNa, elfi for Europe might not participate. Some of these players will probably be invited but not all of them.
This is the reason why most of the tournaments (IEM, MLG) organize their qualifiers during the week. I really hope there won't be some issues like that for Iron Squid.

I hope there are 3 good Korean toss in the next invite so that we have a good racial balance and not too much mirror in the end of the tournament.
And Ironsquid really knows how to please the fans, they only invite players that have a huge fanbase. Expecting Squirtle, Seed and Mvp to be added !

Among the Korean invites so far there's 3 terran, 4 zerg and 1 protoss. I'm guessing they want to balance out the race ratios so my prediction for the final 4 Korean invites is MVP, MC, Squirtle and Creator.

Winning WCS NA is not that big of an accomplishment, because well, only NA players played. That is being like the strongest elementary kid. I'll give her credit once she does well in WCS Global.
