Brilliant, another all-kill from IM. Finally, their team league results start to live up to their skill.

Mvp - 4 GSLs, 1 GSL silver, the best SC2 player we've seen yet
NesTea - 3 GSLs, still a top class player for sure
MC - 2 GSLs, 1 GSL silver, foreign tournament boss, perhaps the best Protoss in the world
Seed - 1 recent GSL, perhaps the best Protoss in the world with pretty much no weak points
LosirA - 1 GSL silver, really really good! He can all-kill teams

YongHwa - just all-killed 2 teams in GSTL
First - just all-killed Prime, looking really strong with wins over TaeJa
Happy - used to have one of the sickest TvZ, he's very solid (recently beat Rain in GSL)
Yoda - Mvp called him the best player in IM...

Imagine a Bo17 team league series where IM throws that lineup at you. No other team comes close in the amount of sheer talent that these guys have

horror can kill PuMa and MarinKing in Prelims and dreamertt can kill aLive in some tournament. Ready was the best protoss in IM YongHwa said it (long ago but said). And True can make this again http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Korean_StarCraft_II_League_Daily/2012/Grand_Opening .

i'm 99% sure ready was the guy who was signed ONLY because he was a teamless guy with a code a spot and im needed one more qualified player to compete in gstl 2

That times teams signed everyone so it is not that a surprise and Ready lost to Lucy in last prelims :D

IM protosses got it going on. A couply months ago you would have laughed and said IM was just MVP/Nestea?Losira?Happy.
Then... Seed wins gsl, seed carries IM in IPL TAC 3, First gets silver in MLG, Yonghwa fricken double all kills, Yonghwa win WCG Kor, Now First in on the all kill warpath too!

Though this is discussed before, Startale would come very close, not in the amount of results, but in the amount of talent.

yea startale would definitely be the closest in depth. with the acquisition of zenex they have 2 solid zergs (curious and life) and maybe like a .5 solid random cheese zerg in suhosin and a really nice protoss line up. They have Bomber too as a wild card because he's either going to come out in top 4 code s form or fail spectacularly. If bomber could get his game under control ST would be scary as fuck! Hack is a pretty good terran too. I'm sure I'm forgetting others off the top of my head

Do you know that ST has Zero (Hello) who has awesome builds and one if them was used by Curious? "The nydus build I used against MKP was a build order taught to me by StarTale_Zero. I am grateful to him for teaching me such a great build. I am glad I didn't waste a good build order like last time when I lost to Puzzle." Curious vs MarineKing GSL Code S game.

Guess Prime's idea of sending out B2 instead of MK as a starter didn't QUITE pay off.

Well played First. Making a name for yourself on a team as stacked as IM can't be easy.

To be fair, winners style team leagues will have more variance just because 1 player getting hot can get you AKs.

I imagine IM drawing lots for who gets to all-kill.

And seriously, a bo17 between ST and IM would be amazing entertainment. I think IM slightly edges ST though. MC makes the difference.

Highly doubt this - should have less variance because better team can pick matchups with less variance or unfavourable (eg. ex-JYP vs Terrans). Otherwise it's all random - you could end up with all your players playing their worst matchups.

IM is so stacked it's ridiculous. Happy also recently beat Rain who is currently the best Kespa player.

No wonder they get all the sponsors. They deserve it!

It is so surreal now that IM is actually good at Team Leagues.

Maybe variance is the wrong word. What I meant is that overall team strength is less of a factor in winners leagues. Because 1 hot player can go on a streak. I.E. If Liquid played LG-IM in a Bo7 where they each send 7 players for Bo1, I think their chances of winning would be less than that of a winner's format.

Obviously, the stronger overall team would still be favored because they can have prepare snipers, etc but at the end of the day, the true elite players who are hot can ignore all that.

Here are some players who I feel has AK potential.

IM - Mvp, Yonghwa, First, Seed

ST - Squirtle, Life, Curious

Prime - MKP, Creator, Byun

FXO - GumiHo, Leenock

TSL - Polt, Symbol

MVP - DRG

Liquid - Taeja

SK - MC

Obviously, others have a chance as well

There are many players that I had to leave out. PartinG, Bomber, LosirA, Yoda, MMA, HerO... Just don't feel they are as solid at the moment to get 5 kills or they have a very weak matchup that can be exploited.
