There is a 1.5 second invulnerability after a vortex and Symbol must have been boxing over that position in advance because he moved the corruptors away quickly.
More Archons would have definitely helped though.

Corruptors have decent armour and decent health. Move fast enough that they don't clump for long like BL. Archon toilets aren't really the solution to them, hoping your army survives long enough to get about 3+ decent storms on them is.

I can't understand people who complain about these long games. All the slow, careful positioning, the dancing around in late late game, it's incredibly tense and fun to watch. But I guess it's a matter of taste. Yes, I'd much rather have a long day of 45 minute games than a PvP grand final ending in 45 minutes of game time

That is enough to tank 3 archon hits without losing any units. They were damaged, but in the end there were so many of them and so many infestors that it didn't matter.
Not to mention there's a 1 sec invincibility after coming out of a Vortex and the fact that Corruptors are fast and can easily move away unlike Broodlords.

i think seed should have put all his archons into the vortex. he lost so many archons to the broods while they were outside. then again maybe they couldnt have gotten in due to the broodlings.

I don't know if you can archon toilet corruptors tbh. The thing with broodlords is that they are so slow to move/declumb themselves, but the corruptors are fast. :/ I don't see this idea working, except with slight luck, which is basically what it always comes down to in PvZ lategame.
