That OGN chat is disgusting to be honest GSL fans are very invested in seeing Kespa players lose. It's considered a huge knock against a player to lose to them at the minute. it's funny cuz San is a GSL player D: Indeed. By 'very invested' I mean 'it's becoming a borderline psychosis'. I believe WCS did some great damage to their collective psyche... It goes the other way around as well though, some BW fans does the same thing when KeSPA player wins. "some" a lot, actually. I see more BW fans hating on GSL players than the other way around.
Not really, all of you like hating. GSL and KeSPA fans.
There's a reason why i don't root for any football team (neither madrid, neither barcelona)... it allows you to enjoy way more the games instead. Same for sc2.

You didn't follow the WCS threads in this forum, did you? When the old BW fans came out shitting on the GSL players as they did lose to the KESPA Pros.... So don't wonder when they hit back...

Bo1 makes for much more watchable days of play too.
I mean I'm watching the GSL at the moment...
...in fact I've been watching it on and off for the last 4 and a half hours, and there's still 1 game + another a bo3 to be played before the days play ends.
bo3 group play can just make days go waaaaaay too long. At this point I barely pay proper attention for the more than a set or two because I've got to get other things done too and it just takes up too much time =(

Good round for my liquibets

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. Not on the fact that everyone hates, but that having a favorite team has you enjoying the game less than not having a favorite team. Having a favorite team gives meaning to every game. Each game feels more intense, Quick baseball example - I would not really enjoy watching (MLB) Houston v. Kansas Cty - however I would watch the Boston Red Sox v. Any Team regardless of their current position in the standing. Granted I would watch the Houston game, it just wouldn't be fun. Similar to watching a pro you don't care about v. watching a pro that you acftually like.

You disagree because you only find meaning if you root for a player. I don't, i just chill and enjoy the games. Good games already have a meaning, a powerful one, you don't need to be rooting for a player, following a storyline or whatever to enjoy them. That's why i don't root for people, i would miss awesome matches, or get stupidly pissed at flawless play from others players which i dislike... just for the sake of being a fanboy.
What i am saying (if i am saying something), is that rooting for teams is ok, as far you still enjoy the game enough to don't be dumb about it (like 99% of the posts about KeSPA vs GSL players).

I think the main problem is that A LOT of contributers (BW and SC2) don't seem to understand the diffirence between, ribbing (The act or an instance of joking or teasing) and agressivly cutting someone down at the knees. Jokes (ribbing) are funny when both parties can have a laugh about. With one party feeling a bit sour, of-course.

Yeah, pretty funny. In group stages it is not even "lose one game and you are out". I really prefer the OSL system. For GSL, unless my absolute favorites play, I only watch some of games of match 1 and 2 and the winner's match. Rest is far too much.

I don't miss it, i already did in the past. I just found i dislike "to make my own" others people accomplishments. And the arguements between both sides... well being an "outsider" i can tease both followerbase... which can be more tedious because i am not biased haha
