I've not followed GSL for a long time but now you just have to win 2 bo1 in order to get code S ?

I have to say... Mana was one people I thought wouldn't have stood a chance in the up and downs, was hoping his seed woulda gone to someone else (no hate to Mana, I've been a fan since wwaayy before he did anything noteable in sc2), but waking up and looking at the results, that's amazing. Grats man!
Refer to my post.

Up and downs is maybe less on how you do and more on how others do alot of the time.

Damn, good job mana. Also, bomber needs to get fucking consistent. He seems like one of the best players in the world one week, then the next week he's barely code A material.

Naama vs Mana at Dreamhack was one of the things that made me fall in love with Starcraft as a spectator sport. It made me an immediate fan, and I'll never doubt either of them. In my eyes, Naama can take down WCS Europe and Mana can tear up Code S

Maybe not rational, maybe not even connected to reality, but that's what makes me a fan.

OMG I am so happy I read about this now. Great job Mana, I knew he was good, time to see if he is a proper Code S material player to compete with best in the world ! Good luck !

Hoseo are falling apart, it probably heavily affected jjakji's ability to practice and prepare.

Damn it, bad news for tomorrow

I will unfortunately forfeit my GSL up & down spot due to a couple of reasons and focus completely on WCS European Finals instead.

GL to you Thorzain, sad to see you forfeit, hope you'll feel better.

Normally you have to qualify for code a, then pass the first round and then you get a show in the up & downs. But Mana got a free seed. The up & downs itself are more a slugfest than a skillfestival. Here you see the most dirty and scrappy play, but it's allright because everyone just wants to win. It's quite entertaining. :-)

So winning Dreamhack Summer = free seed?

No, Mana beat Hyun, and Keen, but lost to Bomber. Mana was then 2 - 1 in his group, however, jjakji was 0 - 3

So if Jjakji had defeated Mana he would still be only 1 - 3, lower than the rest. Mana would be 2 -2 then like Keen and Hyun, however Mana defeated both already, so wins the head to head and would move on regardless. Just how the group worked out for him.

I went to bed after Hyun vs Jjakji (it was like 5:30) and I wake up to

Bomber and MaNa advance to Code S!

jjakji: 0-3

I mean, I saw most of the games live, but to wake up and see that it was real is just like.. lol..

Huh, impressive that Mana managed to beat Hyun, I always thought his PvZ was his weak point. Nice job.

Does anyone know if a GSL Light ticket still gets the up and downs? I haven't bought yet but it slipped my mind, and when I tried to watch the VODs, it said that only Premium, Premium+, and subscription based tickets get the content...
