Into the champ bracket under winners round one, it's only two wins to the final if you win your group.

Yeah, the day9 hate really doesn't make much sense, I think people just listen to too many of his casts and just get tired from hearing the same day9 tone/voice so much that they get tired of it the same way anyone gets tired of anything after experiencing it for so long, and then they make up faulty rationalizations for this sentiment (when, for example, they were completely clueless/new to SC2 when they first started watching sc2, so they mistakenly believe that Day9 does not offer any information now when the truth is that they simply didn't know as much information back then so they believed day9 to offer more than he actually did in the past). Eh, I'd like to think I'm not very biased. But, analytically compared to Artosis he knows nothing. Then when you listen to players like Hasuobs and Grubby cast the comparison is just insulting to them. Play by play he's decent I guess, but Violet vs STC on Metropolis was perfect example of why I'm not fond of him: "OH MY GOD 5 MINUTE 3rd BASE BY VIOLET!!!" *he literally screamed this at the top of his lungs* Really day 9? Also, I just think his brother is much funnier and clever (but that part is biased I'll admit)

I don't know about that, but one moment of not being sieged certainly costs any Terran the game, regardless of their play up to that point. Well considering the entire advantage STC had this game was because Violet moved his queens from the ramp for 5 seconds and lost 20 workers, i don't think there is that much to complain about... TvZ is unforgiving, that's why it's fun. Zerg vs Terran is incredibly forgiving. For example, you can let 6 hellions into your main, let them roast a lot of drones there, then come back down to your natural and get a few more kills before finally cleaning up those Hellions. But it's ok, if you manage to get a good engagement, you still win the game. If you don't, then the battle is about even economically, because after killing those Hellions you can make drones, drones, and drones. But I agree, Terran vs Zerg is incredibly unforgiving. Your Marines get clumped up together and get fungaled? Oh, well there goes that push. Oh, you don't micro perfectly and let two banelings through? Oh, well there goes that push. Siege Tanks unsieged? Oh, well there goes that push. You walk over two burrowed banelings? Oh, well there goes that push. And remember, whenever you lose a push without doing major damage, you essentially lose the game because Zerg jumps miles ahead of you by holding down D. Incredible bias All you say is true IF the terran is in a horrible spot to begin with. If terran is in a good economic spot they can afford to trade armies, it's not like if you let 2 banelings hit your marines you're done, have you not seen games being played the last 2 years?

Personally I liked the one one with round robin better, it was more fun to have everyone play everyone than this mini-bracket thing. This format is okay, but it (and the pacing of the broadcast Friday night) was clearly built around the 8 KeSPA players showing up (round robin would have had too many games with 8 players per group, and it wouldn't have been good to take away seeds from the Arena or Open Bracket either). If they're to continue with this in Dallas, they need to either get the KeSPA guys for real, or (since the WCS won't be eating up time) show more Open Bracket.

The problem is if they start to cast, and don't practice/play anymore they lose their analysis.

And TheSTC didn't just make one mistake, he unsieged his tanks all at once 3 times without any vision and he got punished. In TvZ both players can lose a lot of workers, this game, theSTC lost 60+ workers and still made the game close. But more than often than not, we have seen a lots of bad engagement from zergs, even lost entire army then made another 200 immediately. That's what he talked about
