I doubt he could achieve that in Europe.

Don't call out EU bias if you want to discuss properly. He was undefeated? Yes, he won 2 matches. Beating violet was impressive, but I'm not doubting he would be able to qualify one time in Europe, but 3 times straight. Other North Americans who played in the last 4 IEMs were Minigun, Idra, Illusion and qxc. Their combined record is 1-15. Demuslim (and violet and Killer) are lucky that they can dominated these every time in the qualifiers. btw.: Do you think EU can be easy because slivko qualified? A guy who made it to the quarterfinals at the last 2 IEMs he played.

Idta and Illusion are pretty good, both of them made it to the championship bracket. Slivko has hardly achieved much other a few bits of hype, he is no better than Demuslim. Do I think EU players > NA players? Yes, definitely. Do I think NA IEM Qualifiers = EU IEM Qualifiers? Yes, I do, they're hardly ever stacked.

We actually adapted our European and Asian qualifiers to pHARSIDE's system as it is both open for everyone at first but also makes sure that being successfull in past IEM events gives you a head start. The first qualifier has too few spots to make it to stage 2. You guys are starting to look like MLG 2011 format.

Some guys needed to win one match to go through, if they give more spots (for example play LB and give LR 3 a spot) it would be possible to make it to stage two without playing a single match In this case Tunico and Hellokitty would have played the winner of two byes in LR 2 and would qualify without winning a match.

You're actually crazy if you think sLivko hasn't achieved much. He's been in the top 8 of multiple tournaments this year and last. That said, if you watched Demuslim's games against Violet, he looked unstoppable. And he did really well in the group of death at the last IEM.

But does that mean he achieved something, or just did okay out of 32 or so players? He's on par with the rest of the nearly theres. It's the same logic by which people make Demuslim out to be a world beater, but what major event has he won recently, he's just talented and yet not the top of the top just as slivko. His only top 3 in a relatively big tournament has been 3rd at WCS Russia... I think sLivko is good for a foreigner, but on par with the likes of IdrA, Illusion, etc. Doesn't mean the IEM EU qualifiers would be harder than NA for it.

As of late sLivko is definitely better than IdrA, Illusion, etc. Not hugely, enormously better, but definitely better. The EU qualifiers are slightly harder than the NA qualifiers, even though EU is much stronger than NA overall. On the bright side, players like Suppy, Illusion, Scarlett, Axslav, etc. are improving almost every time I see them and players like Sheth and Idra are getting their groove back.
