The violet's third. A lot of times.

As usual, don't player bash, don't flame, and don't balance whine. Failure to heed this warning will have consequences.

Well that explains the large amount of posts in the thread then hohohoho ;o Well, every time you saw a fungal land or brood lords morph a nuke was dropped here. :D

The big thing that was holding it back was the constant ling baneling clusterfuck, which the queen range change really helped out with. I love ling/bling wars. Its so micro intense and 100% action. In the korean WCS there was a game between Effort and DRG that was amazing. Sickest micro ive seen from two players over such a long period of time (almost 18 min of ling/baneling war). I agree ZvZ is quite enjoyable as a mirror mu. Thou it can get a bit boring when both players decide to macro and max out on roach/infestor. One thing that makes it good is that you can always get back in the game with a good ling runby and stuff like that.

Steelseries sponsored MVP and nestea last year, they must have extended it to the whole team. IM getting all of dem sponsors they are probably going to become a kespa team next year

The biggest thing holding it back was 14/14 vs 15hatch vs 10pool rock paper scissors. 1-2 games out of every BoX was wasted on a cheese to make sure your opponents aren't 15hatching every game. Now that 15 pool builds are finally fitting in somehow, the initial build order is less important, and you actually get real games.

People got good enough at drone micro to hold off early pools even with hatch first too, that's a pretty big part of it

Game one Nerchio was denied from killing off the third, but he got mutas out sooner. Later on with both players staying on mutalisks, Nerchio overcommitted and sent his mutas in Violets main, trapping them and losing them all off. After that, Violet never really let down on his advantage and won. Game two Nerchio kept on denying the third over and over again while keeping his own. Violet transitioned into infestors from muta tech way too soon and Nerchios mutas quickly overpowered the infestors and smaller muta force by spreading them out. In the end his superior economy won out over Violet, destroying the third again with an enormous roach flood.
