Everyone who watched IEM knows Mvp is back in shape and able to play long macro games and win again. But you are commenting in OSL thread, i for example dont expect any of his opponent in current OSL to roll over and die like EU zergs who tried to improvise vs him (because they can only train vs Kas, which is ok vs Forgg/supernova but not vs MMA, MVP, Taeja). I would say MVP looks great vs weak opposition, but that does not mean anything yet about his OSL capabilities. Thats pure speculation.

He was playing macro games for most of that season, MVP vs ryung featured him making a come back with late game BCs, MVP vs July had July doing all the agression and MVP vs leenock was mind blowingly awesome (Oh there was also puzzle, MVP kind of played a cute very agressive style which puzzle didn't really try to shut down and kind of lost). Okay so he was cheesy against naniwa but against parting and squirtle he cheesed no more than any other player would (Besides it's parting do you really think there's any terran who wouldn't try to cheese/ all in him anyway).

Oh I know, I'm not saying he's favored to win OSL or anything like that. I actually think Parting is going to win OSL. There's only two Zergs and one is Nestea who doesn't look strong against good competition lately and DRG is in a mini-slump.

First because GOM players and Kespa players besides very few small exceptions didn't have much competetive rivalry. Im actually expecting for example JangBi to taunt Flash/Fantasy more rather than saying anything about gom players. There is possibility of Kespa players wanting to challange all of GOM players first, which would be fun. But I wouldnt be suprised if Jangbi snatches Flash first, cause he wanted to play vs him in OSL finals :p And Flash is easier route than GOM players still so killing 2 birds with one stone.

And as many of you highlighted DRG has been pretty poor lately from losing GSL to other competitions, but he has been off the radar for about 2 weeks, so maybe he might of refound himself. Be interesting to see which match he picks.

I think that parting will provoke a kespa player into picking him and another kespa player would probably try to challenge MVP into picking him.

Well i hope, this will be as trashy as possible, that was always the biggest highlight of group selections and what made MSL great, now with MSL out OGN has to kinda step up this part :p In MSL 2009 Magma (zerg player) fluked his way into MSL group selections and simply started to trash talk everyone there, definitely one of the funniest things. I think thats the part (cant check, at work :/) for anyone interested.

It's the same thing all BW fans said. Nothing special imo. I think there will be no translation for today, right?

I think It's interesting because we don't usually get fomos comments translated for people to see what they think about things. I think the most important part of it is that they have accepted sc2 and are not ditching RTS entirely. The bigger the sc2 scene in Korea gets the better for everyone.

Almost all the Koreans netizien are bw elitists, they have been following bw 12 years in television. BW elitist is the general korean opinion, they are not the the small bw section in TL.

6 months ago sc2 was still exciting, with good matchups (especially TvZ). Nowadays every game and every matchup is the same. When the bw->sc2 transition started I was still encouraging bw fans to try and watch it and I was confident they'd at least like TvZ, nowadays I could not do that without feeling dishonest TT.

The biggest cake was already blowed away because blizzard did not recognize the only opportunity they had to make SC2 popular in Korea, was to make a deal with Kespa/OGN right away at switch. If Flash/Jaedong etc played SC2 since 2010, the current landscape would be dramatically different. Even if many people pulled away because of game diference there would still be a large number of people in Korea that would keep following SC2 because of naturality of transition, instead we had 2 polar entities happen at the same time (BW Proleague/OSL, GSL/Foreign tournaments), which gave the main reason to bring Elephant into this.
