2nd game on ohana, was so so close for a long time. I just didn't spend my money (had 2k after killing his main) then i got my colossus army stuck out of position, in front of my gateways instead of behind it. Was a fun game and about as close as i could expect to do verse some of these guys. I'll still have a game in the losers bracket up on stage later. Excellent event. Blizzard and ACL have done an absolutely fantastic job at this venue.

"it shouldn't have been advertised as the starting day" "games still count" -ACLproSC2. Seems very confusing. Topped with the whole "lets stream interviews we aren't legally allowed to broadcast the audio to" thing. I thought nothing could be worse than the korean wcs. ![]()

Is his play style still influenced by what he found intuitive back then or has he had to follow the meta-game more? Without reavers and the shuttle, what are his favourite units to micro in SC2? How does his experience at this major Aussie event compare with what Korea was like when he was a major part of the scene? What are the similarities, differences, things better/worse? Also, this is a regional competion for Australia, ofcourse the competition will be less good then what we are used to see in MLG or w/e. It's not like they tricked you in to watching this. And also also, what's wrong with sharing your joy over a victory? Emotional outbursts like that is extreamly fun to watch and even more pleasing to experience. Please don't be so negative.

Sorry, I didn't mean to belittle their achivements but as a none-Australian I haven't heard about the vast majority of them before. And I watch a lot of starcraft. Also, playing in a local or online tournament can hardly compare to this high-production world championship. It would be increasingly difficult to deal with such a larger crowd than the smaller ones that most of players (who don't compete internationally) would be used to. That's a real shame, because it just means another obstacle that SEA players would have to hurdle to give it a real good go in this championship.

I had the same feeling about the games in general before I saw that some players that qualify to WCS Australia are players that work full time, and only play couple of games/ week. Usually I expect to see good games in a WCS, but I guess it's not the same in all regions.

I think everyone is quietly cheering for him (or loudly)!! Yeah, Legionnaire has good charisma, while the other toss, frustration... not very smart to act like that in a local event. Frustration played pretty average also tbh

Here's my wrap of the first day: The first day of the Starcraft II World Championship Series in Sydney has come to a close, as the powerhouse of Australian Zergs dominate the competition. Andrew Pender "Nv.mOOnGLaDe", Zerg, Jared Krensel "Tt.PiG", Zerg, and Bradley Seymour "GoSu.tgun", Zerg, join Yojun Yun "Nv.YoonYJ", Terran, safely in the fourth round of the upper bracket. It appears almost certain that we will see a Zerg in the final, coming from the upper bracket. However dont count Yun out just yet. He fought a tough 2-1 match to beat Lei He "iM.MaFi", Zerg, arguably one of the best current Australian Zerg players. Whilst the odds certainly are against Yun, if he can take Pender out in the next round he will be in spectacular form to dominate the competition. Unfortunately Pender, the most well known Zerg in Australia is yet to drop a game. This Zerg versus Terran match surely is a game you cannot afford to miss. Sorry, i live in rural South Australia in Melrose (A farming community of like 120 ppl) and was working full time until like 2 months ago. Since then i was travelling and couldnt practice much so yes my play is sloppy but im working on it, cut me a break. As for the teammates coming in i was a huge underdog in this series and in any series this tournament, it is my first big event EVER and having thousands of people watch my play plus nerves means i didn't play my best, i would like to see you play in the same conditions. and they are all good friends as well as teammates. I understand it must seem rude and i apologise to iaguz but is it so wrong to show some raw and real emotion?? Dont let the haters get to you. GG ![]()
