You say that, but if you go look at the actual qualifiers we had, even though well over 200 people signed up, not a single region had 16 total people. In other words if you had signed up, you would have had a chance to play.
On Wednesday of next week we have the next Swiss tournament. You have to compete in these style tournaments from here forward to make your way up to the $$ prizepool. It's a tiered system and the full aspect of it will be explained very very soon. But until then, who do you want to win?

Yeah, having registration limited to 16 ppl per region on first come first serve basis was silly. The admins were pretty flexible and helpful though, and helped get some people in who missed the cut-off on the day of the event. Future quals should just be less restricted and then there's no problems =)
We had set it so 20 mins before the event, anyone that was there could have signed in.

Is there a channel that we should meet up in?

After the tournament started we even had a leway time to let players in. But every player that showed up on time and checked in got to play. As I said, we never hit 16 players in each region.

In case those spots empty up. Some people signed up without reading the regional rules so players with NA accounts from Korea and other locations tried to sneak in. They were removed once we tracked them down. Also, some people went in the wrong group and had to be moved. I address the issue regarding signing in further in the thread as well.

First person camera streams for the finals and semifinals oo. Sick production value, would love to see more tournaments incorporate this.

Ro8 happening now, great games so far :D

Boyo coming back from certain doom after being crushed twice by Glon. Which one of these titans will come out on top?

All players involved in the tournament, please send an email to drogith@nesc2league.com with your criticism. We want to adjust things so that they work best for the players and the streams. All negative stuff will be ignored, so please make suggestions with any of the criticism.

GLON!
I sadly did not get the chance to cast any of Glon's games today, but wow. Losing to Goswser in the winner's bracket, then storming back through a very good Sasquatch, Hendralisk, and Boyo, to sweep Goswser 3-1 (3-0 with Goswser being given a 1 game advantage for coming through the loser bracket), that is an impressive run to close it out.
