In the earlier engagement he shouldnt have meleed zealots and then ran roaches around taking hits for no reason, if he just kited he'd have won the game right there.
Later on he should have focused some units instead of leaving like 8 units at less than 10 hp and then letting his opponent put them to the back of his army
