This is pretty spot-on.

its not luck they do there homework on getting young players who have amazing skill and will only get better on there team.... thats not luck

Taeja lives and trains at home, you're going to have to explain to me why SlayerS to liquid helped him.

Liquid gives him the opportunity to travel, gain experience and mature as a player. The guy has so much raw talent is insane, Liquid is doing what they can to polish the edges and bring him into the spotlight. For instance, on Slayers he never got a chance to really shine and always had MMA and whatnot over shadowing him. On Liquid, he's a superstar.

Breaking news, IPL has adopted extended series from MLG. Slayers will be up 5-3 against Liquid in their next match.

Theres no such thing as luck when your team has the best talent scout outside of korea.

I don't doubt the fact that you guys know what you're doing. When I said Liquid` lucked out, I meant that Taeja has actually grown into champion material, while Zenio hasn't really seen much success. I'm sure there's a reason, but I'm not aware of it, so I'm using the word 'luck'.

Again with that stupid phrase.

And Prime wouldn't have made it far without MarineKing.
SlayerS wouldn't have made it far without MMA.
etc.

Honestly, what's the point of saying that?

Ye, that Zenio pickup sure has worked out great for you guys.

Not to mention anyone with half a brain could tell Taeja was a skilled up and coming player. Please don't be so quick to congratulate yourself

I always thought Taeja was just at the precipe of great success. Now I am really starting to wonder if he is one of the 2-3 people who could be considered the best in the world right now. This kid is crazy good lately.

Going to guess it's Nazgul himself.

Very impressive show tonight, really thought TaeJa was about to lose at times during both the Squirtle and Bomber games.

TaeJa was teamless for quite some time which makes it appear that teams were actually doubting to whether or not to pick him up. On top of that if teams such as EG would have been interested he likely would not have joined Liquid but joined a team that had deeper pockets.

Who would that be?

I was actually surprised that Taeja got so little attention when he was a free agent. Everyone who has ever watched him play knew he was going to be a superstar.

Minor correction: Zenio all-killed Dignitas. It was TaeJa that did Prime.

It's hard to imagine getting this far without TaeJa doing what he did. Last season without TaeJa we went 4-5 with Prime, 4-5 with FXO and 5-3 vs TSL, and finished the furthest of any non-Korean based team as top six. And won NASTL.

To perform against some of the best from Code S it is no secret we need our Code S level players to have a good day. It is fair to mention that when we played against mouz Sheth/HayprO went 5-1, when we played against Dignitas Zenio goes 5-0. Sheth scores a potentially valuable win over Ace today, Ret did so against Sniper last week. Among other non-Korean teams we have an extremely deep lineup, but this is another level of play.

Not sure why comments like this are ever made.

Because it's arguably true whether Liquid or fanbois want to take offence to it or not.

Ken just said himself, Teamliquid has a great talent scout and anyone can see from Taejas performance in the weekly korean tournies that he's talented.

Either way you must be shitting me to believe Liquid would have made it here without him.

Thanks for the reply Nazgul.

Yea I realize it's a different level and I know your one of the better foreign teams. Just dislike seeing fanbois blowing it out of proportion.
