NASL's vods are usually PPV. Not sure about the finals, but the season was PPV.

Passholders could watch them immediately from the twitch archive, but they were all eventually uploaded to youtube for free viewing. The finals vods will probably be on youtube soon.

NASL so bad, free stream but unwatchable for EU (finals Monday 0am, everyone who has to work cannot watch) and then you have to pay to watch VODs. Yeah sure you can wait for free ones but that's impossible without getting spoiled.

You've got to be kidding me. I guess we should change when Proleague () is aired as well. Curse KST.

It seems to me he was more complaining about the lack of free vods (in a reasonable time) rather than the broadcast time.

was combat ex at WCS/NASL? :o i saw a pic of him playing scarlett...

wait what?

Yep, Combat EX was at NASL and he showmatched against Scarlett on the rear stage. Apparently Scarlett won, and easily, but that's only what I heard through the grapevine while I was there. I didn't actually witness the versus.

It was fun to watch. Combat played it up in chat, scarlett responded in kind and after some lings snuck into combats one base opening, he decided to do a late Korean 4gate which forced scarlet off guard. Typing BRING ON THE CHEESEcombat ex proceeded to lose 8 zealots to a bunch of lings and drones supported by 2 queens. Combat then said why you so good and scarlet answered with an EZ and danced lings while combat gged.We all had a good time watching and it was oddly enough the most manner I've ever seen combat ex as he was doing it all in good fun this time.

I had my camera and took some pics of the loading scree but it didn't dawn on me to record it lop. I can give more details if you want. The replay is only on some ibuypower event computer unless combat saved it and emailed it because scarlet didn't save it beyond the blizzard auto save.

I can't take his game play even semi-serious, he "quit" SC2. Haven't you seen his epic "I quit Starcraft" video on youtube? It was lol's for hours.

So? It's not like he's a participant player.

Yeah he was messing around and it was obvious. He even played Rotterdam at the after party when he (combat) was absolutely completely plastered and he could barely stand let alone hold his head up.

His point was that you can at least watch VODs for free I think.

why should VODs be free. these leagues have to make money somehow. internet has spoiled people. i bet you'll be really happy when all these leagues fold up and go out of business cause no one was willing to pay for anything

Much as I wanted him to lose, Stephano played extremely good ZvP this tournament.

The real question is why vods are free for tournaments in EU but not in US

Well, he beat a player who is in the Ro4 in the current GSL.

Well, it's not like his recognition means anything.

"Stephano, imcomplet doesn't recognize your skill because you are not in code s"

"Awww, I'm so sad that a random nobody doesn't appreciate my skill. Now I'm gonna cry depite winning 50k dollars and banging a hot blonde."

lol

stephano is awesome but don't be deluded. a 18 year old long haired computer game champion doesn't bang playboy bunnies who have 35 year old rich ripped businessman husbands. not even single ones;)

he might have a shot with scarlett though

I'm totally disgusted by this post. It's diminishing to eSports, and it seems to indicate that Scarlett and Lauren should be considered different classes of people? Or moreover, that Lauren couldn't have a personality? Or that there is something wrong with Scarlett? I'm really disappointed.

Had a great time at NASL, though! Just got back to Ottawa. Meeting Day[9] was mindblowing; he actually took the time to talk to all of us for like two minutes when we got our pictures taken and he signed things. (He explained to me what a triangle was! Finally!) The community was so awesome and loud! I love Starcraft 2.

Ok. yes it would have been nice to have the finals earlier - and maybe they could have. But the finals were planned for 7:30 PM local time. That's pretty much prime time. You can't cater to everyone, so at best, they could have maybe had it 6:30 PM, but earlier than that would be stupid, especially since they've got to think about west coast viewers too.

the olympics don't exactly schedule their games for specific time zones either. The reason is the same: you can't!

so what do you do?? you stay up and watch and drink a shit load of coffee the next day.

can't say i agree with PPV vods tho, but if they eventually become free, then it doesnt bother me much.

I think TL should fun raise $20,000, fly Scarlett to Korea and then rent a two bedroom apartment with her and Naniwa. Have GOM film them and have weekly episodes of them living together.

Money will be thrown at all computer screens.

Really enjoyed NASL this season and the finals were pretty cool. The real sense of enjoyment you get from Gretorp, Frodan and BitterDam is awesome. They are loving it and it's infectious!

People sometimes talk about 'hard fun' in education. Where something that is enjoyable can (should be) challenging as well. I see a bit of that in NASL. They are clearly having fun but working bloody hard to improve. That really shines through and is what helps them to manage any bumps along the way.

I didn't see the ceremony live but loved the vids/pics of the party kicking off. I want to see players celebrating and enjoying themselves. It was also the culmination of a massive season for NASL so no wonder Rotti and co wanted to ditch the ties and get their party on!

Yeah, wtf?! Why didn't NASL stop the rotation of the earth so you could watch during the evening. Stupid NASL.
