In general, if good players play terribly it's because of some external factor, whether its being tired, being nervous, whatever. Unless they are being totally outplayed and being forced to make mistakes, but I don't think anyone with half a brain could say that this is what happened in these series. His opponent's played normal, and he played bad.

He may be better in a situation where he has prep time, but he's still an absolute monster in a weekend tournament setting. It probably has more to do with his wrists right now than anything, he hasn't been able to practice consistently for a while, and he admitted he pretty much just winged his way to a GSL title last season, not really preparing for anything.
