The difference in "mass medivac" and "dead terran" is actually repairing the Medivacs after engagements, like Jjakji seemed to do. There is no way that your "medicloud" is surviving a whole TvZ without repairs, and I think that few terrans abuse repair as they should.
In the past, Jjakji and a few others have shown that a mixed mech rushes (e.g. 1-1-1) with repairs is something like 50% more dreadful than one without...
