Riot is the MOBA company with the best success and that's why they're able to make these acronyms stick. Dota games are a hybrid between RPGs, RTSs, and team combat games. Of these, I think RPG and team combat are at the heart of it. ARTS is imo, WAY more accurate than MOBA. MOBA describes every single game with a non-cooperative multiplayer mode. Terrible, terrible term. Plus it sounds cooler. MOBA is really lame | ||
