yep. the only thing he could have done in this position is delay the third of puma as long as possible while taking his own and get double forge on the way and tech towards templer. obviously he was way behind and probably would have lost anyway.

Stop trolling. While exaggerating, he is kind of right. Meanwhile, players who stroll around get all the hype because "OMG resultz and small number placingz!". Watch Puma's results in foreign tournaments compared to korean ones to realize that a few runs in korean "second rate" tournaments can and should be considered extremely relevant to judge a player's overall skill. No, there aren't. You see the same names being sent to tournaments because those are the ones doing well in Korean Weeklies, GSL qualifiers, team matches, and internal practice matches. There aren't 30 Code B Zergs at Stephano's level just waiting to break out in Korea; you don't know a lot about the scene thinking there are. Please, keep twisting my words to support the idea that I am hating on Stephano, and explicitly suggesting that I am a fool who doesn't know what he's talking about. I am not saying that there are "30 better zergs than him in Code B". I am saying that there are a lot of zergs that could on very high levels, and that Stephano should actually play in their same conditions to be ultimately proven to be better than them. Life, Monster, Sniper, Losira, Hyun, Coca, Leenock, Curious, Seal (yes, a bit unwarranted, a concession to faboyism) off the top of my head could likely perform on similar levels in a highly competitive tournament. I follow the korean scene quite well. Flying players from Korean to EU and NA is extremely expensive, which is why most Korean teams send a very limited amount unless paid for or partnered with foreign teams that provide financial support. It is entirely foolish not to admit that it is easier to get results when, you know, you can actually partecipate in tournaments, and that there is some perfect internal ranking system by which the absolute best performer is always sent out, and he always has a massive edge on everyone else in his team. That's what the person you quoted said, and you agreed with him with the caveat that he exaggerated. What am I suppose to think about what you said when you agreed with a conspicuous troll post? Next time you want to make a statement about how there are high level Zergs that do not get a lot screen time because they don't compete in NA / EU tournaments, don't do it off the back of a troll. My personal experience in eSports has been that a lot of people are able to play at a high level during on days. But what makes a few better than the rest is their performance on off days. Stephano is having an off day, but he still manages to 2-0 Daisy and 2-0 Puma. That's what makes him better than the rest. Even trolls can make good points. The response here is extremely biased toward Stephano; had he said something on the opposite side of the argument, no one would have judged him as a pure troll. Instead, I think that while exaggerating, he has a point. I feel the same for many other players, even if I like them: I feel that judging them as so much better than others when the others just don't even get the chance is unfair. (Then Monster goes to two tournaments and everyone goes "oooh where does this guy come from!?!".) Sorry if I phrased it in a way that suggested a total endorsement.
In a way I agree, you keep seeing players rise and fall in the GSTL and Code A, and a lot of times when you see them against players you consider favorites, you give them no chance, and then they somehow pull an upset. Or one day they just take their game to the next level and have a breakout. Like Symbol recently, or maybe even Sniper, Monster, Moon etc.
Point is, there is still tons and tons of talent in Korea that is just waiting to burst forth, hell recently even Yughio managed to impress in the most spectacular fashion by defeating MKP 2-1 in a super intense and back and forth series in the RO24 of Code A.
Most of us just don't have enough time though to see these up and coming players rise, but it shouldn't be ignored.

Stephano hasn't won a premier tournament in 8 months. Just throwing that stat out there for people who seem to forget it all too often. Well only 3 Zergs have won a premier tournament more recently than Stephano. So yeah that's more than 1 or 2 but you're being a bit nitpicky. It's just very off base when people talk about Stephano as this god of the game when it's actually a really long time since he won anything major when you wouldn't get anything like the same endless stream of hyperbole for Leenock, Violet, Symbol or any of the various players of other races with better/equal results in 2012 than Stephano. I mean Nestea has similar results to Stephano in the time between them all last winning a tournament and yet Nestea is in this massive slump according to most. http://sc2earnings.com/?year=20121 MvPPark "DongRaeGu" Soo Ho $101,800 2 SK GamingJang "MC" Min Chul $71,150 3 PrimeLee "MarineKing" Jung Hoon $57,030 4 FnaticHan "aLive" Lee Seok $53,390 5 Incredible MiracleJeong "Mvp" Jong Hyeon $47,330 6 MilleniumIlyes "Stephano" Satouri $42,615I only see 1 other zerg on that list hmmmm.... lol at judging skill based on prize money. lmao @ judging my post before reading the entire arguement. Tournament results = prize money which is what the argument was about lol. So for this argument yes. Unless we can only base it off of what you PERCEIVE it to be based on. Enlighten me please A GSL ro8 is harder to get to/a better result than outright winning any foreign tournament besides MLGs/IPL4 but doesn't give even close to the prize money. That's not true at all. Naniwa beat Virus, Puzzle, Ryung and Genius to get to the round of 8. A lot of foreign tournaments show better runs than that. For example Stephano beating Ganzi,Illusion,Violet,Squirtle and Parting to get only 3d place at Redbull is at least as hard as what Naniwa did. lawl do you really think illusion is code s caliber? people are ridiculous sometimes.... you think Virus is code-s level?
since he was in code s....yes?

There are a lot of people who are able to upset top players in the NA / EU scene, too. Recently, we saw Illusion, Ziktomini, Suppy, etc. upset MLG OBs, and earlier we saw people such as Gatored upset DRG. But the bulk of these players didn't keep it up, and that's what determines a top player from a great player - the ability to keep it up.
