Heck his GSL win was 2 sub 10 minute baserases, an 11/11 rax bunker push and a misrallied immortal. Of those only 1 is not a BO win and I wouldnt try to deny how good MVP is. Winners just win.

Has any foreigner, ever, qualified to Code S via Qualifiers -> Code A -> Qualify? I don't remember how Jinro and Idra got in and I believe everyone else was an invite. Someone please educate me on this. Jinro and Idra qualified before it was code A/S. Huk got a code A seed the season after. Beyond that not 1 foreigner ever qualified for code A. Actually that's an interesting point, Nestea never actually had to do Code A qualifiers, did he? I'mt not at all familiar with what was involved in getting into the first season or how it measured up to the current, insane Code A qualifiers. Since he never got kicked out ever since the first open, no he never needed to qualify for code A. It was nothing like it is now. Hell even DRG never qualified for code A. Well I'm sort of curious about what were the qualifier for the first GSL Season. Or was it just a massive open tournament that everyone could join? It was an massive open, basically like code b now, into ro64. Then it was a single elemination tournament the entire way up, so no groupstages etc. You could say it was basically a massive open tournament, but not until ro64 was it streamed and gave you cash.

DRG did not stay in Code S for 10 seasons either, can't compare it to another. Code A qualifiers are hard but it's nothing compared to 10 seasons after another in code S. Ahhh Nestea...

Actually, lots of people do! Pretty much every popular player has hypocritical anti-fans, it's just the way fandom works

Probably there were some qualifiers for the koreans, but i also believed guys like Idra,Ret,TLO got invited to it. there were qualifiers because Huk failed to qualify by 1 round and MC did a ceremony in his first win in season 3 by wearing a hoody that had Huk on it
