Except Hero and Seed used 3 different and very standard openings.

Yeah Byun probably practices and perfected this build against many toss opening though.
Hero attempted a collo switch but failed.
Seed went double forges which is an instant loss to Byun build

byun's play is cheesy in that he forces you to scout him atleast 3/4 times and prepare almost perfectly. he's abusing that early game protoss lack of scouting perfectly.

however I think he doesn't actually like macro games vs all the races, feels old school GSL terran. we'll see but his style is working right now maybe because it's so unexpected.

If you really want to know, Byun's TvT style was the most annoying and macro-gamesque ever.
In his old interviews he said that nobody wanted to practice with him because his TvT were always super long, lol.
It's more that he is in a group with 2 protoss, and Prime are good at making specific builds, so he uses them in order to get through quickly. He can play every style with terran.

I don't think DTs are a good idea against Terran. The current meta is to build the e-bay directly after adding on the 2nd and 3rd rax after fast expanding.
Just ahead of time, know your addiction's not a crime. It's just a smaller part of who you want to become in the end.

About a year ago he was known as someone who exceeded in back to back really really long macro games, because of his exeptional stamina. Weird how things like these change :p

It was probably from playing so much ladder when he couldnt play in any tournaments. He was like... fuck this I want to get 1000 win portrait on all 5 of my terran accounts so I need to play fast games

this is a bs build... Terran cheeseballs keep rolling. I hope he doesn't go far with this...

Wait 'till he hits a Z or a good TvT player. This wont get him very far.

byun is a great tvt player in himself

It's amazing that people don't even know who Byun is.
I guess they'll see more of him anyways.

It's not like I don't know who he is -.-

But considering how he's crushing protoss face today - I have a harder time invisioning him having this succesrate against the best Z players in the world. And even though he's good TvT - so are some other koreans

He wont be able to just waltz into the finals by doing marine/tank... was pretty much my point

Every terran struggles against zerg anyways... and his TvT is the reason MarineKing got that good in TvT, so he can crush faces in TvT too .

And all three were underprepared for the push. They scouted them when the tanks were at his natural ramp. Maybe it is because a one base push is designed to counter standard/greedy openings. Thats why you have to adjust your builds. There is no go-to Protoss build which can hold 1base all-ins and at the same time gain you an advantage into the late game against 1rax cc builds.
