That's the kind of mentality that explains why SC2 won't ever be big. You are all too much serious and reject 90% of the audience, who are casuals liking to watch things instead of whining about x vs y, race vs race..

Also, the overwhelming numbers of koreans without any charisma at every MLG don't really help getting the fans behind their favorite players.
To be honest, there are a LOT of foreigners without any charisma either. So what's the point?
American fans will root for non-Koreans because they're the underdogs. It has nothing to do with personality.

Is it just for me the Grubby game is looping?

He usually sucks for the first 1 2/3 of the tournament. Then he goes on an 18 win run to finish in the top ten. I would expect him to do well tomorrow if he doesn't get matched up with someone he has extended series against.
Yeah at Orlando and the winter championship he was streaking along from the open losers bracket to like championship losers 5 or 6 after losing almost immediately on the first day. I'm still hopeful he can pull something out this time

Easier to learn and more accessable games will always have larger crowds, last years EVO was absolutely massive and I loved it and I'd never played any of the games before. POOONGKOOOOOOOO!

Pretty sure he's only talking about MLG crowds and I agree.

QFT, its that exact elitism that alienates alot of people whereas league is also a game that focuses on teamwork which..idk more people can relate to?

The delay between games and the selection are really a turn off.. why wouldn't they stream Stephano's matches????

That voice is about 1,000,000x more responsible for the SC2 scene being as big as it is than Stephano, so stfu and watch or do something else. Yeah, the esports scene grew off the back of a single player campaign, right? No one said that... he's saying the voice has done more than STEPHANO! and he's right
A game is rated based on a combination of single-player campaign and multiplayer. For those working in the vid game industry, the single player is arguably more familiar and important (to them) than it is to us. Good ratings from IGN and such websites = more people want to play SC2. It is vital that the single player be as polished as possible in order to attract customers. When a voice actor as important as Raynor gets high reviews, then the game gets high reviews. High reviews = more customers = bigger SC2 scene.

Why aren't they showing Grubby -.-

League of legends is the most casual of the mobas, therefore the most people play it and thus the most people watch it

Unfortunately he might be right, that doesn't mean it's going to happen, but people are starting to get slippery feet. A decline always starts at the united states, then moves to Europe and eventually it dies in asia. So if starcraft scene loosens within the united states, that could be a big blow. With the new expansions coming and all, I'm still very excited and optimistic.

In what world do people want to see Violet/Puma play over Stephano? It almost looks like they don't even think these things out,,,

LoL just isn't a fun game to watch as an esport though IMO. If you're going to watch a game of this genre, watch DotA 2.
Even though I think LoL is by far the most fun to play yourself as a pubbie game.
LoL games are all really similar, no variety except what hero is currently FODM thanks to buff/nerf, and games snowball really really hard.
