polt was indecisive when he was ahead. he didn't attack the 3rd base and did not expand into a 4th base when he was WAY ahead..
THen Polt did the unthinkable with that weird command for his SCVS... but Polt was still in the game before that terribly dumb error.

Polt did throw away a lead. The 200/200 battle at the middle was barely won by Stephano towards the end - he remaxed with zerglings but didn't have enough larvae to create all that he wanted with his bank. Polt hitting an earlier timing with that 200/200 push gives him an edge.
But that map... That map, that build, that greed. A better Terran player gets 3/3 earlier than Polt and just straight up smashes Zerg with it. You have to punish CC first.

He would have been in a good position, but you can't say if he would have won. That blunder really screwed him up.

Aw man, that had the makings of a good long macro game too...
That was very uncharacteristic of Polt to not go for 3/3 ASAP (he had the money for it for a while there), and then the SCV mishap. I've never seen him do something like that, in tournaments, or on his stream.

It really seemed to me like polt could've just won after the first attack. He had like 10ish hellions left over,e he could've killed like what 30 drones? :/ Instead he went back to his base and macroed while stephano got a lot of lings and was able to push him back.

3 bases to 2, better tech, higher supply and map control. How is that not a lead?
