Mvp's wrists are probably a factor in why people voted such? Squirtle is also definitely on a tear, possibly one of the best months ever in SC2 so far (rivalling Leenock's providence-GSL run and MKP's GSTL-MLG month)
I give Squirtle a small edge just based on his ridiculously good he's been playing in recent time, but who knows if he will choke since It's his first GSL finals after all.

Mvp is def not the underdog, this is his 5th finals and this is squirtle's first code S, and he just beat Parting and if you can beat Parting you can beat any Protoss.

Squirtle's PvT is by far his weakest matchup and MVP's TvP as of late seems pretty solid.

mvp's tvp hasn't been very much in the way of macro games though, and squirtle has beaten some very good tvp'ers in recent times like mkp and taeja... i think it will be closer =)

It doesn't matter if use timing attacks for 80% of your games, if you win with those timings then you have a good matchup imo.

He said nothing about whether or not a macro/cheese game is a real win or not. He said that MVP doesn't go for the macro games lately.

Also it was IPL4, not MLG where Squirtle ate every Terran alive except aLive (teehee).
