Why shouldn't Happy beat Ryung, his best results are quite a bit better than Ryung ever managed.
Ryung's TvT isn't as good as Tastosis hypes it up to be, and Happy is a very solid player.
I swear it was awesome for a while, when everyone was going mech he looked so good during that time. I recall him absolutely manhandling an Up/Down group full of quality terrans including happy.
But yeah, was an easy liquibet on Happy for me this time around, Ryung isn't so hot right now!
MMA claimed that while he could beat Mvp's mech, he never could beat Ryung's mech back in the glory days of GomTvT.
I liked GomTvT with the touch of TvZ whenever CoCa, Curious, Nestea and DRG were around. Now it's all PvP and OPvT. Oh well, precedent suggests that if one group start dominating for a long period of time, they will have two years of constant nerfs, and then it will be GomZvZ?
Really don't know why you're whining about protoss when so many were eliminated yesterday. There are more terrans than toss left in code A.
because few of the toss from code s dropped down but seriously so many more terrans dropped from code s -> code a (12t, 5p dropped), hence the disparity

lolwut Happy has always been better style-wise and result-wise than Ryung

Strictly speaking, it will be a case of serious imbalance if former code s zergs and terrans still continue to lose to inferior tosses in code A. Honestly, i'm beginning to like the "double elimination" format of code A & S. No more TvZ in code S? We will have more of them in code A :D

???
None of the Protoss players who won this season in Code A were inferior to their zerg or terran counterparts. In fact in Code A only Creator and Killer have won a PvT and they were against relatively unknown Code B terrans.
Half the reason we aren't getting TvZ in Code S is because a majority of zerg players in the GSL just aren't that good or got unlucky draws (Seal got JYP of all people!). I don't know if Zerg have ever had a majority number in GSL, for some reason there are just very few top level Korean zergs.
That said, the top level Korean zergs are honestly some of the scariest players around.

Isn't that what i am saying? I clearly did not talk about the tosses that won. I'm talking about the tosses that lost. 90% of them who lost clearly deserve the loss when you consider the skill level of the opponents they are going up against.
Well, it's not like i'm whining about zerg under-representation anyway. The only good zergs are probably nestea, drg, seal, leenock's & july's (just ZvT). Still waiting for symbol and life to climb up the ranks :D I could care less about the other zergs. Zerg is a race after-all where the weak get eaten and only the strongest survive.

Yea, initially I'd of blamed balance back in the early days of the gsl, and I think to a good extent I'd of been right. However, over time it also feels like Zerg probably has the weakest players overall, and perhaps always did in Korea (it's the opposite for the foreigners).
imo, it's always felt like you either have the guys who look like championship material, or the ones who will probably hang between high code A and ro16 code S for months, and occassionally spring into the ro8.
Terrans? Not uncommon at all to have a new face in code S or even the ro8 each season. Pretty sure the top 10 of this race wouldn't be hard at all to make for most people. Greatest number of diversity in their champions
Protoss? Had a nasty period for a couple of months but they enjoy a fair amount of diversity. The #1 toss has been up for grabs for awhile imo, but I feel like the general top-tiers have distinguished themselves enough without needing too much debate.
Then there's zerg, who I think have always had the three highly distinguished top 3, and then after that it gets harder to name very many standouts. It's gone something like -> Fruit, Zenio, Nestea -> Nestea, July, Losira -> DRG, Leenock, Nestea. Curious and July still have their moments of greatness too, but everyone else for the most part looks decent/has potential to "meh".
Symbol is getting up there though and Losira is coming back I think :D
Don't understand any surprise at Happy beating Ryung. The "GREATEST TVT PLAYER!!" tag hasn't been true since the BFH nerf, and even then it was exaggerated by Artosis because he loves mech so much. I haven't seen the games yet but Happy has been the superior player virtually his entire career.
