Selling out all the tickets to it was probably far better than extra couple of thousand on one stream.
Not to mention that Pomf & Thud are unknown outside of France, but huge in France. It would be dumb to cast in a language some or most of your fanbase isn't comfortable with.

This! There are enough english tournaments, the crowd wants french and they make everything special, so lets do it in french. my schooldays are waaaaaay back, but i understood most of the interviews ( however, almost nothing of the pretalk ), and in games I probably will switch to english!

Mute the French, but watch the screen and put on the sound of the english stream. English steam is subpar qualitywise.

Get over it that not everyone speaks your language and enjoy the games.

sorry about the no btranslqtion on the stage, english viewers will have a specific TV set with Reis interviewing the players, we thought it was an easier solution

i must say, all these highlight reels were edited really well. Other than some stream issues which is to be expected, pretty impressed with Iron Squid

Same old bashing, last time with Take's tournament and now this one ... by the way I'm glad I live in a german/french speaking country :D

As someone who speaks 3 words of French, I am perfectly fine with doing this. They have a lot of energy, and when I watched BW I was used to don't understand a thing. I don't really see the problem.
