Speaking from personal experience (playing in EU from NA), the lag is almost negligible.

desRow.To english casters: Try to relax and have fun with the games. It sounds way too stiff and dull (especially the guy).

I'll take whatever chance I can get to see some new faces and a shooting star like Scarlett play though. So I'm kinda happy they went with it, despite the cross server trouble.

AFAIK it has good and bad days and also depends on the region, the EU player is in. For example, I hear often, that Ukraine-NA is as bad or even worse as KR-NA. However, the Type-house should have good internet. But you can´t simply neglect the fact, that it was played cross server and that that could have influenced Phoenix. At shoutcraft-invitational 3 for example they switched Server in the finals and dde won all NA games, whereas Socke won all EU-ones.

Don't know about latency but Socke won game 5 and 6 and losers pick can also have something to do with the back and forth winnings (if they did that).

AFAIK they switched server there, I think Socke mentioned it on Szenecast. But it was a long time ago, I can obviously be wrong.

Yeah, if you watched Fnatics newest interview with Nightend, he says the lag he gets from KR to NA now is much easier to handle than the lag he got from Romania to NA and the Koreans should quit their bitchin'. :D I don't know, I don't have personal experience, but I think it greatly depends on where you're located, but I guess it can sometimes also be completely random.

Yes they switched servers but I meant that loser picks the map, and that that would also be a factor. Maybe a bigger one than the putative latency. Map plus home region makes a strong combo either way. ^^
