I completely disagree with MLG and dreamhack being better produced, and YES i have been paying attention, and NO i havent had lag. With the viewership, and the quality of games to say this wasnt a competitor to MLG is just completely ignorant.

its mediocre compared to the previous IPL tournaments, which makes me sad. had such high hopes for IPL. wanted them to be a true competitor to MLG, which previously they were.

The production is up immensely from...what exactly? Dremhack and MLG were much better. IPL is better than NASL but then again who isn't?
Jjajki MMA is the only elimination game in the last hour when they skipped over 2 more. And also there have been a ton of stream lag issues and other things, you must just have not been paying attention.
Again this is certainly isn't a BAD tournament. It's just mediocre so far in terms of production value.

But its NOT. The production value is up immensely from other tournaments. The observing is good because they have the BEST person, it doesnt matter where hes from haha. They are showing elimination games, Jjaki vs MMA is on. Its more than likely based off a schedule, not ideal for a dynamic setting but not unfathomable. Just as many stage performances have been not awkward as awkward its a player thing not a tournament thing. What about the other 100 games theyve shown? Were those FREE games ( for those who dont have the pass), not high quality? Not important? And ive had my computer on from the beginning to the end of the IPL, and my internet has gone down from time to time but i havent experienced any lag or blackscreens from the IPL side. People are just tunneling in on the sound issues and the other issues that have snowballed today. But to say the whole tourney was bad is ignoring EVERYTHING else.

There are definitely stream problems on IPL's side: just because you weren't watching at those time it doesn't mean it didn't happen. I mean I could be wrong, but if you had no stream problem, can you be so nice to tell us how exactly MC won against Squirtle in their 2nd game?
And for the games, the fact that they're showing Nestea vs Ganzi, when only seeding is on the line, over MKP vs Curiours which determines who advances; or how they didn't show Stephano when everyone wanted to see that.
The Observing is only good cuz they're borrowing GSL's observer (STLegend)
Let's not forget those awkward stage performance, and sound fails (random girl voices popping up for whole 5min DURING a match; caster's mic on during commercials, 2nd stream mic not working the whole day, etc)
You can try as hard as you want to pretend this tourney is good, but it doesn't change the fact that it's really really poorly executed in terms of production.

I have had 0 stream issues, and there has been, more, equally as important games all of which were very high quality with 0 lag. Casting is a personal preference, and the obsing has been very very good. The games are the highest level, and just because stephano isnt shown doesnt mean important games arent being shown. From my point of view this tourney has been great.

Some of the casters have been really terrible.
There have been consistent stream issues (lag, black screen etc)
Sound has been terrible often (bad volume, mono-stereo not done properly, multiple stream's sounds coming through on one stream)
VERY important games haven't been streamed.
So apart from stream issues, video issues, sound issues and games being shown issues, it's been great!

So for us who haven't been following the tournament, what has exactly been so bad about IPL 4? I mean so it's been perfectly fine!

lag i can gat past, talking over there own commentators i have a hard time forgiving
