Everyone in pool play gets $1,000. The higher you place in your group, the more you get. So even if you're Idra and have a record of 0-2 (1-4) going into tomorrow, if you can still win your last series or two, finishing 3rd will be much better than finishing last money wise.

One thing I dont get is why there are so many koreans in this open bracket.
The prize pool is similar to that of the MLG Providence and there's at least 10 more koreans here than that one
I'm surprised though players like DRG, Supernova didnt show up after trying hard to get into the pools via qualifiers

No one is denying idra is very good during the beta phase, but he is currently struggling against top players..
