Is so nice to see Koreans playing on Korea server, was a bit ESV Korean Weekly'esque, with less adventurous maps but more star power. All in all I have really, really enjoyed the tournament. And it is amazing to have Jjakji ending up taking the spot for IPL4. What a marvelous event that is shaping up to be.

All you're doing is saying something obvious and that you have a feeling that it will happen.

Jjakji's TvP certainly looked a cut above just above any Protoss I can think of at the moment. Perhaps someone not playing for a standard Protoss three base style would fare better, as much as TvP late game can look ugly for Terran, Jjakji makes it look Terran favored with such gorgeous positioning and engagements. Going heavy Colossi certainly looks ugly against him.

Can probably make a good debate of whether Jjakji or MKP have the current best TvP in the metagame, I don't know if any other terran players do so well at TvP in recent form? Polt and Thorzain used to be unstoppable in TvP and now, though still good, I probably wouldn't bet on them on MU alone regardless of the opponent like I would Jjakji or MKP. Maybe Puma. Is there anyone else at this level in TvP you guys can identify? ELO has Bomber, alive, Supernova and Taeja up there, but imo both Bomber and Supernova's TvP has fallen from it's previous level. Supernova did top his group with just TvP but still.

Supernova did top his group with just TvP but still. Not sure how I would rank players in TvP right now. I do however feel that the matchup is in a state of flux; in my estimation it has been set back greatly when it comes to actual development due to the six months of 1-1-1 being so prevalent in Korea. Whereas just about every other matchup being developed and maturing during that time, TvP late game was largely unexplored and seemed very Protoss favored in many ways. I think it will still take some time for us to get the full picture of what is going on there. Jjakji's late game and MKP's early to midgame certainly look very strong; it seems as if many of the things that made Terran look very susceptible to both early game pressure and late game domination by Protoss have been largely counteracted by two different styles. At the very highest level, I think we need to see Protoss develop even more to contest with MKP and Jjakji for sure. Which means more babysitting of the deathball, better micro and positioning as well as other things that will come with experimentation and maturing. As much as TvP sometimes holds true to the stereotype of having one deciding battle and the losing side never recovering, I am not convinced that will be the ultimate fate of the matchup. It might still be the case of course, but I am very much thinking that, as players become better in all aspects of the game, we will see a lot more coming out of both sides. Certainly it is good to see people with extreme skill sets such as Jjakji's positioning and micro in end game confrontations and MKP's early game aggression transitioning into midgame harass and never letting the Protoss really breathe come to a forefront. I would very much hope at least that we will see the games where both sides just macro up to three bases and one side wins will be forgotten in good time. Just kind of amazed by both Jjakji and MKP at the moment. And feel very happy to see such strong play emerge in a matchup that so often feels very uneventful and largely lopsided.

MLG was killer last year in the excitement it brought. It's waned down so much, for me at least. And that was back when the winner only got $5k.
