That's about .41 cents an hour (8 hours of content) Even less if you factor in the VOD's of games you don't watch live. Plus it's paying peoples salaries and mortgages, allowing more investors to look at Esports as a profitable industry, and will make MLG 2013 even better. It's actually 4 championship tournaments: Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. And that gold membership is a product of the past. It was priced back when things were much smaller and bundled with competition stuff which is of no use to those just watching (the majority). Hence it will be discontinued after Columbus (a.k.a. MLG Winter Championship) so that no old gold memberships will run into next year. If you plan to watch most if not all MLG championships this year, you either watch the two free streams with reduced quality or pay $20 per event to get all streams and the higher quality settings. If the latter is what you'll do anyways, then you better get an old gold membership while you still can until Sunday and save $50 on the year.

One thing I'm really impressed with is how MLG has set up the multi-stream support. I have 50 Mbps internet at the moment and it's really nice being able to get everything in full screen 1080p. Of course they've had their stream problems, but even as a paid subscriber it doesn't irk me that much. Technology fcks up sometimes, and we've gotta give them that.

I guess it's because they aren't online yet but I rather trouble shoot any potential problem now rather than later when the games are on. Thanks. input your voucher code, which you can get by opening where it says "Welcome 'nickname' " and then click mlg membership edit : inputting voucher isn't working for me tho, just keeps loading after.

Like last time I almost bought it to only watch for around 2 hours, the 1080p is that nice. Bear in mind, however, that -- assuming they will keep things as they were -- the arena events are the PPV ones where even gold membership only gets you a discount as seen with the MLG NYC Winter Arena. Gold memberships only cover the 4 championship events.
