Uh I learned that a long long long time ago . Terran's fine after the patch to (they won 2 tournaments in the weekend patch came out). But yeah darkforce played from behind the whole game. I don't think he ever almost won that game though, drops were doing very well against him doing decent damage or killing bases which is always frusterating and why I dislike ling/infestor is because of how abusable it is with mass drops xd.

Man, after those games I feel bad for playing terran. That was worse than watching a protoss cutting and zoning a zergarmy with forcefields into nothingness.

Yeah, absolutely ridiculous how top terran players can actually beat mediocre zerg players. This game has to be broken. /facepalm

I enjoyed today's broadcast so much! Bryce and Ben sure make a great casting couple
call them the

This is the first time I have looked at the MCSL website and It's very well put together, impressive job with that.

Thats true, a lot will come down to micro I suppose. The raven has to get into a close range to shoot the seeker missles, so maybe a fungal to prevent them from coming in range is an option. Definitely seems micro intensive.

I was checking out the player profiles that they put together and they actually have stats from previous seasons. So like the GSL, they have stats like "Catz has a 58% win rate in the EG masters cup."

It was a funny cast indeed, but it couldn't raise any interest for the games. I switched over to SotG due to the obvious high spirits of an EG win. Orbs' fuck up did put them in an awkward spot to cast on their own series they already know the result of. Gratz to the guys, and they have all the rights to enjoy the victory- for a cast however less than ideal.

i like how people are trying to turn this in to a balance discussion thread. the games we saw today, tvz, were all very weird. you cant make much comment about them because we just havent seen many games go like that. such a good spirited thread about to devolve into balance whine ;/

I think thats why so many of us cited the cast as "entertaining" rather then intelligent. So I agree that it was far more funny and fun than it was a straight forward analytical approach. EG's casters are versatile to show both sides (funny/entertaining and analysis/play by play) so the variation today was definitely an enjoyable one.

Oh Idra... :/
not your year huh?

we learned that idra still can't handle his rage, and still makes stupid moves, like fighting a ton of upgraded marines with pure mutas, and thus losing all mutas.
we learned that mass medivacs are pretty good if there are no banelings and no broodlords.
we learned that zerg still has a good shot at winning the game if he can build up a infestor/broodlord/corruptor army, even if he's been ten million miles behind, and that ravens still completely suck ass, and are no viable choice against this late game army composition.

No, to be more precise: I could tell from the start EG won this match, which lowered my interest in the games significantly.

Why is Idra performing so poorly?

Oh I see what you meant. i can see definitely see why that would lower your interest. I was juggling between this, sotg and the NBA so I actually had the stream muted for most of the first half. It was only until the game thread and the chat were going crazy over the casting I decided to unmute.

Requesting daily EGMC bingo board! Loved today's cast, Bryce/Ben really rocking it today. Ben casting his own game was so good :D

Either that or a sweet joke. After Incontrol and Machine I would say Idra is the worst player EG has right now...

It's kinda disappointing to see how far IdrA has fallen since the beta. He always says SC2 is a terrible game and takes no skill or practice but at the same time he is attacking into entrenched positions, losing a lot of mutas, and not even attacking coherently with his whole army.
I just feel like IdrA's mentality has finally seeped so much into his gameplay that maybe there's no turning back now. It's like he's saying "I'm so much better than you that I don't have to control or engage properly". I really hope, somehow, that someone on EG gets through to him about his mentality.
