I hope that this defeat doesn't affect Hero's mentality too badly. He just got into Code S, now is not the time to go into another slump.

Hero got into code S after these games were played, lol. I'm pretty sure Oz was helping Hero with PvP vs JYP for that too.

With the timing of the games being played being 'just before patch' according to IPL, is it not even possible that HerO qualified after losing this game? All in all, even though it in my mind reinforces some perceived weaknesses in HerO's general play and decision making, it should not be that big a deal.

Oh, well that's good. I hate seeing him slump due to nerves.

Oz practices PvP with hero often. oz probably knows how hero plays half the time. they have a similar playstyle too

FXO is for sure one of the highest level Korean teams, no shame in losing 4-5. If anything, this was a really impressive showing by TL.

lol as much as I 100% completely agree with this, all I can wonder is where the people who thought this were when Huk beat him and they downplayed it Is there truly just an EG hate on TL forums or is that Huk specific or both?

Sad to see all foreign teams out now, but grats to FXO.
And when you read through these posts and people talk about perfect games ...
They do not excist we have never seen a perfect game in sc2, only broodwar play would come close, but even then near perfect is not perfect.
Mistakes will always be made, that is why one will lose and another wins, if both played perfect it would be impossible unless there is imbalance among races or maps.

No, just no.

Coinflip, he got the wrong end of the coin. Shit happens.

Not really a coinflip at all.

Oz makes DT shrine without knowing if Hero had gone Robo or Twilight Shrine. If Hero had gone Robo, he has superior tech and an extra base whereas Oz has wasted money on a useless tech. If Hero had gone twilight, Oz wins.

Coinflip?

Oz was in Hero's base and got a full scout off man.

Naw, Hero cancelled it and could have gone for Robo at that point. Instead he went back to twilight tech.

Too bad, but I guess it was wishful thinking to see TL take this home. GGs guys. It was a good run to say the least.

I think he worked it out such that by the time he lost vision of hero's base, no matter how fast the robo got up, the DTs would be there earlier?
Oz also went for twilight during his 3gate, probably intending to research blink, but made a snap decision to DT after he saw no robo tech.

Then again I might just be spouting crap hahaha.

Well Hero went for a super late robo and still almost got an observer out so I think if we saw smoother macro from Hero (not cancelling and restarting his tech) he would have gotten it out in time. He would have definately gotten it out if he switched after Oz's three gate. IDK. PvP is wierd and I really don't understand it either.

I am also really tired of seeing this thread popup because it makes me sad. Somewhere down the line we could have oGs vs Liquid. oGs vs. LIQUID!

Just finished watching the VODs. Damn... TL so had that CW!

I wish TLO had just gone nydus worm instead of drops, hits so much earlier. And Ret! He seemed to fend off the warp prism harass so well but then over droned.

Then that last PvP just made me sad when I realized Hero still wasn't starting a robo

3 chances to beat oz and win the match, so sad

Unlucky Liquid. gg Thanks to FXO for giving Liquid an easy game by using Choya though.

On a slightly different note, I really want to thank the people from TLPro and from Team Liquid in general for hyping this match even though they knew they had lost.

Was really nice seeing on Twitter and seeing stuff on the site about the match. Good stuff.

Also, going out in double elimination losing 4-5 to both Prime and FXO, that is a pretty damn good showing altogether.

Ouch, Oz seals all hopes of seeing a foreign team advancing ot the next round.
Congratulations nonetheless to FXO for advancing to the next round!
