I like lol, started playing recently, but some people here think that Riot and LoL are esports heaven or something like that Buying their way is irrelevant. I agree that the lack of replays isn't good. Having said that though they draw in quite a lot of viewers by shoving the stream in the face of their playerbase; making it sort of a natural transition to start viewing e-sports tournaments. Blizzard does not embed the streams in-game but only has a news hub thingy in the main screen which directs you to the news tab which in turn redirects you to your browser window and only there has a stream embed. It is definatly a lot more hidden and requires more steps. Blizzard is definatly improving though as now the news post on their website is embedding the stream, something that didn't happen in the past. Edit: Fixed the quote. I'm flicking between CS and SC2.. I have no interest in LoL but those stream numbers are impressive regardless of what anyone thinks. Lot of people watching IEM it seems, over all the games though, which is awesome. Esports still on the up.
Yeah, 200k on the first day is pretty cool. ^^

Nice, HasuObs is through no matter what. Worst case is him being 0-2 in his next match and Nerchio 2-0, but it would put both at 6-5 and HasuObs won over Nerchio so he'S through, nice

Man, group B is so messed up. + Show Spoiler +Grubby and White-Ra already out. I know they were last minute additions, but I was hoping they'd get far. At least they're guaranteed 600(?) dollar, hope that takes the sting out of losing a bit.

They're slow, the upgrades lag behind the armor upgrades of the opponent which cripples its dps, and they take forever to build. It seems like they're more appropriate for a flashy showmatch inside of actually competing. On a Double/Triple-Robo pumping Collosus plus Upgrades you're so low on gas that your anti-air is reduced dramatically. Kill the 6 or so stalkers and it's quite literally GG.
Or you could get approx 8-10 Voids or 13-15 phoenix w/ pulse crystals and do the same thing, but better/more versatile/more dps.
Seems to me these games were more of a showmatch for fun than competitive trying-to-win-the-tournament games.

lol no
There are degrees of randomness, and PvP has a lot of it

I just want to voice my enjoyment of this tournament. Multiple parallel streams, free of charge. Fan fucking tastic.

Elfi with 4gate + blink + robo? :o
|
Seems like elfi needs to lose for Nerchio to advance.
The best Nerchio can do is 3-2 6-5. The worst Hasuobs can do is 3-2 6-5, and Hasu beat Nerchio. So hasu will end up above Nerchio. Elfi at 2-2 6-5 already...if he wins, he'll be 3-2 and either 8-5 or 8-6, both of which would beat Nerchio's maximum of 6-5. So Elfi has to lose, and Nerchio has to beat Grubby for Nerchio to advance.

lol same robo blink build but MC is so far ahead.
