No, they have to tell twitch to get their they cdn working in all areas, or do what they did last year, throw all their money after akamai and have no profit.
I don't think own3d have better cdn than twitch, they just didn't have the same user count as twitch yet.

MLG really shouldn't partner up with Twitch.tv. It's no secret that Twitch has lag issues broadcasting worldwide, and Streamworks seemed to work fine. It's subscription system is also quite terrible, as it can be easily bypassed. MLG really should do all streaming directly through streamworks on its website and force people to log in to their MLG accounts in order to watch the arena. All lessons for next MLG, I suppose.
