CrazyForces and inStarcraft.de (also known to veterans as broodwar.de) are announcing a new event for the German StarCraft scene: The Germany Cup (Deutschlandpokal). This tournament is intended to support the German scene and make something special. The prize money is completely payed by donations.

"How do I participate?"
If you are a German citizen, all you need is a valid StarCraft II account on the european Battle.Net server (As the tournament is only for German players, the tournament admins may request a scan of your ID if needed). There are two ways to participate: Direct subscription (for master and grand master players) and an online qualification tournament.
Direct Subscription
If you are master or grand master 1v1 ladder player, you can directly sign up for the main event by just writing an email to inscf-signup@instarcraft.de. Please include a link to your battle.net profile and your inStarcraft account name. We will invite up to 16 subscribers. If we recieve more subscriptions, we will sort them by their ladder placement and invite the top 16 subscribers.
Qualification Tournament
All players can participate in our open online qualification tournament, regardless of their ladder placement. This tournament will take place on March 17th and start at 17:30 (CET). The Top 16 players of this tournament will be invited to the main event. The players that are already qualified via subscription must not participate at this tournament.
Main event tournament system
The 32 players will be divided into 8 groups with four players each. All players in each group will face each other in a best of 3 match. The top two players in each group will advance to the finals. The finals with the remaining 16 players will be played as a classical tournament bracket. The details will be announced later.
Prize money and donations
As previously mentioned, the prize money for the Germany Cup is completely from donations. Currently we have around 250 euros. If you want to support our event, you can still donate. The details are given in the Official Announcement on inStarcraft.de.

- Open Qualifier: Saturday, March 17th 2012 at 17:30 CET on inCup.eu
- Finale: On a weekend at the start of April
