Apparently some people are dumb enough to STILL be asking for it, so let's make things clear:

Do NOT ask for re-streams, and do NOT post re-streams.

Do not come here and muddle the thread by bitching about PPV.

Honestly, I always thought Naniwa was overrated (and he really needs to work on his early game, seriously) but he has shown some great micro and decision making. I can't think of another foreign protoss (huk isn't that impressive lately) that is in the same league as him. Don't think hes Code S quality necessarily, haven't seen him in his other matchups enough, but I would like to see him try and qualify for code a or at least play in some of the smaller korean tourneys.

Still a sick tournament for DeMusliM. Getting top 16 in this tournament and getting into pool play, finishing ahead of players like NesTea and MVP. Sick, sick play.

No doubt, he put on an impressive run.

That he did. Was a great run for any non-Korean. He played really well, was actually kind of hoping he might pull off some crazy upset or something.

LOL finishing ahead of someone in bracket means nothing since it's just how the format works.

He should be praised for beating Nestea and making it close vs Oz though.

I was referring more to Nestea than the MVP bit. I mean yes he did finish ahead of him, but I meant finishing ahead of Nestea because he beat him, not because of the random order of the tourney.

Is 480 not working for anyone else?
You should not have to pay to watch the GSL, Proleague, or OSL at a reasonable time. That is not "fine" and it's BS to say otherwise. My sig since 2011. http://www.youtube.com/user/dabom88

Naniwa just seems in a better place than he was before. A lot happier. I think it's really important that he's made friends with HuK + SaSe

Nani and SaSe have been good friends for years, but yes, he does seem in a better mindset.

Stephano beat a code B terran, then lost to a GSL Champion.

There's a big range there. On topic, Ganzi pulling out interesting builds this tournament...

Seriously why aren't we looking at the type of event when considering this stuff?

MLG = you don't have any time to prepare unless you reach Championship Sunday and you still don't get much time.
GSL = have a week to look at all their games and disect them and tear apart their weaknesses.

Notice how HuK has fallen off and Naniwa can't get into GSL other than through MLG.

That's two examples that is no proof of anything. Watch the games instead of spouting off theories like this. Both Huk and Naniwa haven't played well in the gsl in their matches. Sure preparing is a factor to consider but it's pretty ignorant to claim this is the reason they aren't performing in Korea. You don't get better or worse micro by having a week to prepare.

Stephano.

Stephano lost 4-1 to a korean earlier today.

Yes we should ignore the 3-0 over Puma and the other koreans he beat

Puma the guy that is stuck in Code B and only does good at tournaments with no good Koreans. No, Hero isn't a good Korean.

Umm Puma is a very good Korean Terran. His TvZ is his worst match up though.

After 2-0'ing and 3-0'ing two top Koreans as well, and most of these 5 games were very close as the winner admitted himself and praised Stephano very highly.

Anyway, DRG said earlier today that right now there's no difference between top foreigners and Koreans and that's quite true.

Maybe. But the difference is there is 3-4 top foreigners and 1024 top koreans.

Naniwa hasn't even tried qualifying through the qualifier.

He decided not to qualifiy as an apology to GOM for his behaviour at Blizzard Cup.

Indeed, that's the main reason very few foreigners have even been remotely close to winning the GSL - sheer numbers.
