He played really well, and Terrans are still doing extremely well in tournaments. Everyone including Stephano lol.. he just said ghosts are bad and Zerg is good. Also, I dont know why people keep saying Terrans are doing "extremely well" in tournaments. Korean Terrans are. Foreign Terrans have been struggling for a very long time. The last one to win a major live event was Jinro at MLG DC... well over a year ago. well, koreans win all of the tournaments (korean or foreign), so its not surprising that we dont see non-foreign terrans winning anything. ;-) Not true. We've had Huk, Naniwa, idra, Stephano, and Dimaga win. Mana has been in the finals 3 times. lol. the last foreigner win was in october. There was also a huge break in foreign tournaments. by huge break, you mean only 2-3 huge tournaments per month? http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Premier_Tournaments Are you even listening to what you are saying? If you actually read that list you'll be hard pressed to find any foreigners that win tournaments in general. And most of the tournament wins are by Terrans. Of course you'll go on to point out the runs of Huk and Naniwa, but the thing is when Huk was winning tournaments, he was considered the best protoss at that time, and Naniwa beat the best Koreans in the world, show me a foreign terran that can do that. why can foreign toss and zergs beat the best Koreans in the world, but "show me a foreign terran that can do that." We dont got many Terrans in the foreign scene while we got tons of Protoss and Zergs But Kas, Thorzain still doing very well
How are they in any way doing pretty well... I'd be surprised if they had 30 % winrates in recent tournaments.

I missed everything after Stephano defeated Polt in the winners bracket. Please, help me!^^ I just watched the vods http://www.twitch.tv/lonestarclash/b/312086279Holy shit if only GSL finals would be as good as these. Winners final and grand final were really sick. Thank you, that was sick indeed. So good.
Stephano, I am proud of you! Polt is incredible too.

i'm so damn happy for stephano. He was close to get wins like that in a lot of tournies and finally made. well deserved.
I also think his game matched so well against polt who likes to macro a lot to 200/200.

I would seriously love to get that antiga match on replay. I have 4 hours ready to spend on studying it.

Wow, what amazing finals! Awesome tournament guys! Thank you so much for this!!
Stephano <3

The series between Stephano and Polt was one of the most amazing ive seen in SC2 since beta, so close and so high level.
|
Those were really great games. IF Tasteless was there, he'd say 100 times how this was the best series he has ever seen in sc2.
Steph and Polt were really even matched, and all the games were so close.. it was amazing.
|
Really amazing series in the finals ! All games back and forth with amazing management by both. Pleasure to watch !
That's how zerg should be played and that's how terran should be played as well.
|
Awesome tournament, some great matches with a great final but please forbid that KPOP act to perform ever again (well at least in public) cause that was horrible.
|
I hope Polt will use Ghost next time they meet. Polt + MVP ghost control = Best player on earth?
|
I just watched the VODs, polt and terran needs to builds ghosts! (for EMPs vs infestors) Or did the patch make them totally useless?
|
Those 7 games (2-1 then 3-1) were AMAZING, one of the best series i've ever seen. Damn, I love starcraft !
Congratz to Stephano and Polt !

Speak for yourself. I liked it very much. Making people smile and happy isn´t a bad thing either. Rotti showed us how to react.

To the bank! xD Stephano!!

What a great tourney^^ I'm a huge fan of Bitterdam so I guess I would be biased anyways... Highlight for me was Game 2 WhiteRa vs Sleep... Such an awesome harrass and show of control from WhiteRa with speed prisms^^
