You'd get better than that.
Double bo5 incoming § Better be that/

Surely it must be a Bo3 + Bo5 since Stephano only won 1x Bo3 against Polt already...

because it's grand final so stephano would need to win a BO5. the second BO5 is to make up for the fact that stephano has not had a loss yet.

Yer, but normally it's kind of "you must be put down in loser bracket before you are on equal terms with the one coming from the loser bracket". Polt has only lost 1x Bo3, if he looses to Stephano the first Bo5, he has only lost 1x Bo3 and 1x Bo5 compared to, for him to win, Stephano has to loose 2x Bo5. It gives an advantage to the winner bracket... winner, which although I'm not totally against, just isn't normally like that.

I honestly think Polt would prefer to win two Bo5's.

It means Stephano has to beat him three times in five sets.

Yeah, he took down polt and is in the grand finals. Sleep VS polt is the LB finals, and determines who faces stephano.

Not quite, normally the finals would also be BO3 so no matter what, you're not out until you lose 2 BO3s. He' saying the difference is Stephano has to lose to BO5s (6 games), Polt/Sleep is out if he loses 1 BO5, 1 BO3 (5 games, which is less than 6).

However, BO5 finals are more exciting than potentially only one BO3, so it has merit.

Check dem brackets: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Lone_Star_Clash

Some really great games today. Sleep has been on an absolute tear since being knocked down to the LB by incontrol. Grubby also played just amazing today.

No, most tournaments are exactly BO3 up until Semi's, or at the very least finals. then swtich to bo5/bo7.

Nha, in double elimination the amount of games that has to be played in a BoX should stay the same through the entire bracket. Normally.
In single elimination it may change.
I had a good night of sleep.

No, it's literally ALWAYS like that.

Well I can't really find an example other than MLG in a similar spot, since I don't know double elimination which aren't just a Bo1 with a possible 2nd Bo1, but if we compare to MLG, they just always have Bo3(which although sucks, still makes it so the winner doesn't come with an advantage other than just still havent lost a series). My point is merely that Bo3 != Bo5, so basically now Stephano has to loose more than Polt has to, to end up 2nd(this all assuming Polt wins obv).
