BTW the USA thing....some injoke? Can someone explain? (Not been following the scene very closely these past few months.)
I dunno if I would describe it as a joke. I am not sure what to call it to be honest.
Since Stephano is the best foreigner some americans decided he must be american and that is pretty much it. Personally I think it is 33% retarded, 33% awkward and 33% sad. First it is like "what are they talking about?", which quickly goes into "haha what a funny joke (not!)" and then it is more like "okay this is actually kind of sad" type of joke.
I've seen at least as many europeans making that joke as US-Americans. You act like anyone is serious about this. It goes back to the GSL-World Cup when Artosis accidently called the foreigner-team "Team USA" even though there were no US-citizens in their lineup. Since then it was always used to make light fun of American patriotism and the fact that the USA has nearly no top-level players.

Why, TvZ is still terran favored in korea.
Because Polt is amazingly good while I'm not. So if he fails to beat Stephano (a very good Zerg) how can I beat other good Zergs in comparison... when I'm not even half as good as Polt T_T
This is the first time Polt has been beaten by Stephano I think, and Stephano probably is around top5-10 zerg in the world...
Polt is good, but he has always had a hard time in Code-S (He is not one of the absolute strongest)...
Stephano beat him a while ago, in Ezio cup, and Stephano is easily top 3 zerg atm.
yea, easily better than DRG, Leenock, and Nestea.... lol
I hope for the posters sake he meant top 3 foreign lol
I'd say he's probably No. 2 atm, but it's really impossible to tell until they start playing in the same circles...aka, Stephano goes to Korea.

Sadly, unlike you, it doesn't seem like Stephano suffers from nerd angst and probably won't say that.

He's not easily top 3 zerg...>_>
That's a huge statement.
Is it? Which are the 3 best zerg´s then? I mean sure you have DRG and then I guess the second would be Leenock (?) and then?
You can argue that Nestea is in a bit of a slump, but I'd say July is playing better than Stephano at the moment.
JULY!?
JULY?!?!
I am not in the "Stephano top3 zergs in the world" fanclub, but that statement is out of this world.

So you realize it is something that was created by US fans, and pokes fun at Americans, right?

Nestea... kinda the obvious answer there. Regardless until he actually competes with GSL competition (more than just 1 or 2 players at random tournaments) nobody can make that type of statement. For all we know he is barely Code A material in Korea.... I mean look at what happened in the GSTL last night. Three of the best players in the game got beaten by a Code A player...
What I saw last night was NesTea almost hold off a 10pool with drone all-in with a 15hatch. I don't know what you saw
I saw the same, but guess what... a loss is a loss is a loss. There is now way around it. The same player also beat MVP and Seed... If im not mistaken those are the 3 Code S players on IM...

I doubt that.. Stephano is pretty assertive. If it bothered him, he would put a stop to it, at least in a format like this. You just see it in a different light... it's all about perspective. I could easily see someone on the receiving end of this taking it as a compliment in the form of a joke. Only the the pitch fork people on here see it as something disrespectful. This isn't the olympics.. he didn't just win a gold for his country that he worked all his life for.

Yeah, after all USA has the Statue of Liberty and all France has is the lousy Eiffel Tower.
France was nice enough to offer the Statue of Liberty to the USA

Nestea, Curious, Lucky, Coca, July and Zenio are consistantly showing Code S level play so I guess you could make a case for them.
To be fair, July and Zenio aren't really that consistent. The main problem with trying to get a fair "Top Zergs" ranking is that there isn't enough mixture of the foreigner (european) scene with the Korean scene. There's a reason why TL separates International and Korean rankings.
