Seeing this more and more on this map, place the rax down the bottom , get a couple of marines out, lift and kill the overlord which is 99 times out of 100 there on Cloud Kingdom. Same thing on Daybreak. On March 18 2012 04:44 Leth0 wrote: Blizzard wouldn't look like total asshats with their "Bnet 2.0 will be so good you wont want lan!!" If EVERY....SINGLE....TOURNAMENT didnt have issues with connectivity. So sad and petty that they removed lan. So frustrating. I'm assuming that was a PC issue since DeMuslim got instantly up in frustration instead of waiting for the server to respond.

Think demuslim had that planned? putting the rax there to hit the overlord Obviously, it's a good way to get a quick advantage if you're playing against high level players who send their first overlords to specific places

Think demuslim had that planned? putting the rax there to hit the overlord It is a very standard terran technique on that map. Demuslim and many korean terrans do it fairly consistently (dunno how common it is on EU/NA). Was definitely for that purpose + the slightly delayed scout of the rax, but that is just a nice bonus.

Hopefully in the future blizz will give out lan copies of SC2 to big organizations so we don't have to deal with this t.t

I will not disagree as you are perfectly right with your statement, yet as Terran I ask myself if its worth it, especially against the style Destiny is playing. It will slightly delay your hellions (if you play reactor hellion) which is already not as strong on ClouD kingdom as it is on other maps so you cannot deny the creep spread as well and lings might slip through the side as you can only guard the watch tower or the other exit. So while I think its a good move on nearly every map to try and get the overlord, I think its too big of a sacrifice on cloud kingdom. That obviously is my opinion :-) ..

In this case so little happened so far and nobody was ahead, so a restart isn't bad at least.
