We br , HONESTLY and HONESTLY, dont know!

Let me just sum up a story:

Apprently Fenix gave the tour. up a few days ago. Since the ESL direction didn`t want any "TBA" or "W.O." in the tournament, they suddently invited Dakkon, a guy who lives more than 200 miles from SP, and even PAYED this garbage his whole trip and stuff like that (why didnt the organization payed for great players like Snute or Stephano who was supposed to go too?)

And now we are all mad for two reason: the fact they chose Dakkon to play the tournament (a mid master zerg who plays like shit) and payed for his trip.

Lamp, a really great player who managed to beat players like Drewbie a while ago, was not invited, but the seed of the bracket was better than Dakkon`s. And guess what? Lamp lives in Sao Paulo city.

So yea, we feel really ashamed that Potiguar, Tunico and specially Dakkon played for this thing. Lamp and Reason would have made a brilliant presentation.

That story is not even close to being true. After Fenix cancelled we went to the fourth placed player (Thunder from Venezuela) and then to all the players that ranked 5th-8th in the Latin American qualifier (where also KiLLeR qualified from). Of those four players only DakkoN replied at all.

Every player in the tournament receives at least $600 prize money. This money is meant to support teams and players to travel to the event.

The only one you really have to blame is you or the players you named as they appearently didn't see the need to even try to qualify for a $21.000 tournament in their homecountry...

You're mad? You didn't pay for this tournament. You have no reason to be mad.

Actually IMO Tunico wasn't bad at all, although demuslim played terrible in their series.

Fortune also was the same seed as Dakkon, and he stated in that forum that you guys NEVER called him and didn`t even got a msg, neither from his manager, team or facebook.

And Fenix also stated he wouldn`t play before 3 weeks the tournament was about to begin

I know I would`nt post anymore, but lets make the thing clear.

I don't think ESL has any benefit bringing in a worse player, I think ESL knows better then that and I do trust Shawngood's words because of that fact.

Believe he's Canadian, and to be honest, he's quite nice to me on ladder whenever we play, I know what he did to the community but he's definitely not as much of a douche as Deezer lol.

And keep in mind that this entire thing wouldn't have come up if Fenix didn't bail on yet another event lol

although his posts have been massively trollish and negative, I wouldn't trust ESL admins to not cover for their mistakes, even carmac avoids taking responsibility for small fuckups or just makes some statement rather than rectifying things.

not saying thats bad, every organization does the same. but if ESL forgot to contact someone who was tied with dakkon in seed or realize that fenix wasn't coming (3 weeks in advance or 2 days? big difference lol) they wouldn't admit it and its easy for us to just believe them since they are ESL.

Yeah, Dakkon sucks, yadda yadda. WE GET IT. Jesus.

Anyway, poor showing from the local players, but that was expected. Poti was actually impressive at times especially vs. biGs, but he has a long way ahead of him if he wants to make a splash in the international scene. He can do it if he commits to it.

Tunico and Dakkon got rolled, shit happens, move on.

Now instead of hating on Dakkon or whatever, what about spreading the love for esports here in Brazil? This event shows that, although disorganized, our community is very passionate about SC2. Why don't we have more tourneys? Why are our players so obscure to the rest of the world? In fact, why do our players interact so little with their fans? We have a lot of work to do if we want to be a relevant nation in SC2.

edit: I spel gud

Dakkon is actually worse than me, why was he even invited

You should really get ur facts straight.

Please send me a PM here on TeamLiquid with the exact details and maybe quotes from the players you named. I want to look into this.

We have a partner here in South America/Brazil running qualifiers and tournaments for us so obviously we trust him and his work.

Man... joining a thread and seeing some pretty serious hate from people who wouldn't do any better than him... unless every single person here is grand masters anyways of course. Online people need to learn that respect isn't something only given to teachers etc.

Like I said a couple posts ago, if you get an invite to play a big tourney at your homecountry, would you say no? I wouldn't.

It's not Dakkon fault, he did what he thought was better for him.
