Nestea vs. Genius... hoping that Nestea beats Genius and then beats MKP too ^^
|
2-0 nestea.. unless genius picks up a win with a cheese
|
calling it Genius 2-1 Nestea. Artosis curse in full effect!
|
I think DRG is going to have a hard time against Parting, since Parting looked awesome against Jjakji and Artosis said that his PvZ is even better than his PvT which is pretty scary. If MKP gets out second, MC will have a pretty easy time to get into the finals since he'll only play PvT's.

i agree with this. Anyway in general i think nestea is a better player but is not in a great shape in the last months and in particular i think DRG have a really better ZvT than nestea.. DRG has the best ZvT in the world, and this is big issue! But for sure, DRG HAVE to win a GSL to be considered the best zerg player in the world.

No. I will give that to Leenock vs Forgg. fOrGG made a huge mistake late game when he lost his group of ghosts IIRC. Not that Leenock didn't play flawlessly, but Leenock was on the defensive for most of the game.
However, I think DRG played way better, because of the fact he aggressively executed his gameplan, and there was almost nothing that Marineking could have done against it. He expanded his creep amazingly fast, expanded really quickly, was really good at defending, and literally got everything out before MKP had the chance to counter it. Hive tech, upgrades, expos, etc. All while defending perfectly. Only flaw was losing those Brood Lords, but by then MKP had no way to get back.

is Genius using a Topre Realforce?

I can still remember a long ass time ago, way before any koreans were streaming for the non-korean community, there was a guy who used to mirror stream some koreans (basically a re-stream of stream). He said DRG will be a very special player. This was before he was on MVP and he blew up in the team league.
I wonder which up and coming player that oracle see's as the next DRG.

Well, MMA has two GSL titles in the past three tournaments, so you can make a case he's the #1 player in the world and has surpassed MVP. DRG still needs a title.
I might be completely wrong but i think that most Code S players would be more afraind to play DRG than Nestea right now!

It's kind of like how Ghoti is pronounced Fish. Except not as hard.

My money on king-maker match is actually DRG v Parting. I think winner of that has as the best chance of winning MMA would have something to say about that. I don't think MMA stands a chance against Parting to be honest. Except with soem creative cheeses.
MMA is good enough at every match up that there isn't anyone in the world he "doesn't stand a chance against."
Would parting be favored? In my opinion yes slightly but MMA is NEVER to be underestimated.

Also Terran needs a buff before next GSL in my opinion wat? Well most people agree late game PvT is heavily stacked in protoss's favor, and ZvT is very favorable for zerg in most late game scenarios as well. It's not a huge suprise to see players like MVP dropping to Code A at the moment, and its also not a suprise to see this many protoss in the Ro8 either. Although Terran had the most players in code S, they will have less in Ro8 than would statisically be likely based on that fact. You know MVP went to Code A because of TvT, right? And lol @ Zerg being favoured in lategame TvZ. If the Terran player has very good Ghost control (something not many people have, but still), the Zerg is in deep trouble.
Most people don't have good ghost micro because Terran has so much other micro to do in battles already that having to MASS spam snipes is not something that is easy to accomplish while also splitting your army a tonne. I think the way Terran needs to go if they want to use ghosts effectively is have a very heavy mech army with it, because having ghost micro as well as marine micro is silly hard - no other race has comparable micro management to that.

wasn't twitch tv also streaming it?

For a second I thought Nestea was cheesing

I think the only reason Genius played so well against DRG and SC it was because he knew exactly how his opponents playstyle/BO.

Well, GOM just inspired me to start a Korean Anki-deck.

As much as Zerg likes to whine about how good Ghosts are in TvZ, the reality is, Ghosts are the only thing saving Terrans from that unit composition just demolishing them. Ditto with Motherships and PvZ. Isn't SC2 such a beautiful game?
1) SC2 is absolutely beautiful..
2) You guys sure about that? Say we have ghost + mech, is it really stronger than Broodlord/Infestor/Corruptor..
3) Anyways, let's focus on next match. :-)

Don't forget though guys, Fionn has already cursed Parting. Something to think about before you place your liquibets.... jus sayin.
Ill wait for Artosis' predictions after these games so i can liquidbet the exact opposite. Its got me a 75% correct vote so far, and the ones i got wrong i dont think artosis commented on.
