The kid is 15 years old in his first international event. Give him a break sheesh. I love all the BM on here. "Look at him, he doesnt look like a top NA terran there" "omg ragequit" etc. He's really good friends with dKiLLeR, they practice together daily. dKiLLeR has seen all of the shenanigans Illusion uses to be effective and was able to gain an advantage by shutting all of that stuff down.Illusion is easily a top 5 NA terran, it's scary how good he is. Then again, nerves may factor into the equation -- he didn't showcase any of the micro that singlehandedly wins him games.
Same in the other way where Illusion blindly countered the ling infestor ultra style.

Leenock had his first international event at Providence. He won it...
But yeah Illusion will probably become one of the high end NA guys. You finish school at 18 in the US right? That kind of fuck's things up for him because he has 3 years to wait before he can even join a team house or go to Korea. Which you will 100% need to do to compete by 2015.

Korean interviews are going to be interesting

i dont think there is a need for a live translator....
everyone there is a nerd and nerds do speak english pretty well

I forgot to type gg - nothing BM

Solid first showing of Illusion at a major lan tournament. His builds vs DF seemed it bit strange but he took games of two established players. He's just 15 years old and already one of the best Terrans in NA, let the guy get some experience and he will shine soon enough.

Exactly people get so over hyped about everyone. He had a good run at Providence, and has a lot of potential. No need to put pressure on the kid calling him one of the best NA Terran.

I was just giving perspective. This is a young man's sport so 15 might be young but even if he won this entire tournament he wouldn't be the first guy (Flash, Baby, Leenock, Jjakji) to do it at a very younfg age and he won't do that he's just breaking into the pro scene nevermind starting to win tournaments.

Unfortunately, that's a bit of a hollow compliment, NA Terran is possibly the weakest Region+Race combo there is, NA Toss is a compliment, it still puts you above Kiwi and HuK, but NA Terran is.. QXC and Princessajor?

That push usually hits when there are 6-8 mutas out and not a ton of lings.

Haha, Rotti been a little bit too long in the sun. And give Illusion a break, he is a nice guy, especially when you consider his age. I'm sure he will be one of the best American terrans. When he manages to practice against high level foreigners from Europe, he might be able to climb up to be a top foreigner terran.

Noone is trying to over hype him or put pressure on him... we are trying to give credit where it's due. Name 5 North American terrans who are better? Until then hes one of the best in NA.

I think he probably is, he earnt this spot afterall. Maybe showing a bit of inflexibility today with his range of builds though. Got to factor in the whole first big international LAN thing too (as in, outside of NA) I really don't think he's the best Terran in NA yet. He can be, but it's a huge exaggeration right now. I don't think people are saying he is THE best, just that he's one of the best which feels reasonable given he's qualifying for events like this, his team performances, and his run at MLG at the end of last year? At least I struggle to think of many other NA based Terrans who outdo him recently.
Those are impressive, but I think he might to prove himself a bit more to convince me. I'm a fan of his, but not quick to award him any sort of "one of the best" medals.
Though, now that I think about it... I can't think of any other major Terran players ('sides LuckyFool of course :B).
Edit: ah, qxc

Anyway yeah, being the best US Terran is erm... well... a start.
