It would be very hard to deny Stephano the title of "best player outside of Korea". Even Naniwa doesn't have the accomplishments at this moment in time.

What accomplishments do Stephano have that Naniwa lacks? Winning a sunday night 8-man invitational online tournament for £500?

3 major titles with koreans participating.

sure but the koreans stephano beat in those events really weren't at all as high-profile as naniwa's wins during the same time. Recently both players have been kind of under-performing though in both dreamhack winter and hsc3/iem kiev respectively.

I've never seen such a compelling argument! Bravo! Totally worth posting!

''naniwa'' also isn't an argument. but arguing about players is stupid. unless i win something, i don't care.

stephano is more accomplished. And he plays zerg.

there's a difference between being the best player and winning the most because stephano plays zerg he will obviously win more easily but when debating over the best player naniwa is still the obvious choice

Stephano is probably one of the best foreign Zergs but best player outside of Korea? I am not sure about that. This is a very small tournament. Things would looks very different if more top talent was here. He is good enough to know that Stephano can probably take a series off anyone in the world. Some of the other players in this tournament. Not so much.

I don't think its very proper to try to consider balance in these types of discussions. Its best to just go by results and how their games have looked lately, since there is obviously more to it than results.

Thanks to casters, crew and sponsors. Gratz to Stephano for winning and ggwp to Beasty and Grubby for beating Nerchio and Kas.
