Investing in hive when the game is even is a calculated risk as well. Tech switching takes a certain amount of gas and minerals (you need to build a certain amount of broods for there to be a point). Furthermore, making broodlords takes a certain amount of infestors to protect them. Can you idiots point me to a point in the game where nerchio could have stopped making 10-15 mutas and the same amount of banes and survived and/or stopped beastyqt from easily securing his 4th and 5th (and subsequently having beasty's production spiral out of control)? No, now shut up. I frequently call nerchio retardio, but that doesn't mean I don't recognize that he played an amazing game. Almost perfect. Amazing how many times his 3rd was denied and that he still could make a slow, inching comeback basically playing 2 vs 3 base and 3vs3 base for prolonged periods of time. Hive my ass bronze leaguers. Pissed me off reading it, just had to reply. *edit: 10-15 mutas probably is too conservative even that. Hive upgrade cost. Greater spire upgrade cost. At least 5-6 corruptors cost. 6 corruptor morph to BL cost. Now you've got 6 broodlords and 0 infestors against a 5 base terran with 120 3-3 marines. What next geniouses? | ||
