If nobody else is complaining then it's not GOM's fault. : / Cool play from DRG. Great work from all of MvP. A lot of viewers have Problem with Gomplayer. Every GSL thread has a hint how to avoid the lags Gomplayer produces, becouse it is so commen. Most people having problems started using vlc though. I'm sure gom player works fine if their computers are good enough and they aren't blocked from installing it in some way. I mean, if the problem was with the stream, it wouldn't work any better in VLC.
I use gomstreamer myself, but I still use gom player to watch the dump. I use gomstreamer because it's nice to have it saved (if I need to pause for a while) and it reduces stutters your OWN CONNECTION might lead to.

I'm in Melbourne, Australia and the GOM stream is fucking terrible so far this year. I used to watch the HD streams with no problems last year but now I can't even watch the SQ stream because it stutters and dies non-stop.
Im in Melbourne, Australia too and it works fine for me. Press C till the player goes up to 3.0 speed, leave for a few seconds then press Z and it will go back to normal. If this fails then your internet sucks. Im with TPG adsl2+

Um go learn how the internet works and then come back.
But yeah, I been fixing computers for 20 years so I know it is not my computer or connection, it is obviously the server to my location. ie. Sometimes it is fine, other times it is unwatchable.
Hopefully GOMTV see this and can do something. You think GomTV has singled out Australia as a place which should NOT get a good connection to their servers? Face it, the issue is not with gom. Whine to your ISP/government where it might actually help.

Oh don't worry I will. Additionally, asking GOM to check their server to my location is also logical.

I want to jump on the Genius bandwagon and hope for a DEEP run in this GSL, but his domination was in teamkills so I can't completely trust him yet ;(

That is actually false; at least on Mac, the GomPlayer is quite terrible in many ways and the video always lags behind the audio, while VLC handles the stream perfectly.

Doesn't mean he's bad, but at the very least today he's not in form at all. im neutral towards jyp i just find it disrespectful whenever i hear casters lowering a players skill level, especially because if u were to ask anyone before these games(including tastosis) if jyp or genius was the better player 90% would have said jyp, ur opinions on players change on a day to day basis seriously.... you see that in every sport... casters/commentators talking about the level of play of certain players, criticizing them, hyping them, all that stuff. It is completely normal and GOOD for esports. How boring would it be if no player were to ever get hyped or criticized? If you want SC2 to be accepted as a sport, we as a community have to treat it like one. Players have to learn to deal with criticism, if you can't handle it then eSports is not the right place for you. but profesionnal sports commentators have years and years of experience and know what theyre talking about, i do agree that the casters are sorta forced into talking about these type of stuff or else the cast would be extremely boring if they didnt So is your issue that they're not good enough to be criticising players, or that they just chane their mind about a players skill too much? it has nothing to do with skill, u can be knowledgeable at the game without being a good player but its when ppl start making senseless statements that rubs me the wrong way, the game's still way too young and unprofessional to do anything about it tho casters get all pissy whenever they see posters senselessly bashing them for no reason, why shouldnt players get pissy whenever casters start downplaying their skill level? especially when its not rightfully deserved, whos tastosis to say that jyp isnt at the same level as genius/sc/drg? Agreed. Nerves, and small, fatal holes in their play can make some really talented players look like they're worse than they are, and casters should be more thoughtful of that. Like when Huk was starting in korea, and kept doing stupid attacks. He just has a style that requires a LOT of games with failed attacks before he can figure out how the right way to execute a certain attack, and fine tuning his build to hit in the EXACT window he wants. MC (the "suicide toss") is another great example of that, too. And of course, there's nerves issues too. Now you could argue that beating nerves is also part of how good a player is, but if that's the case it needs to be specifically brought up as the reason why a player looks sloppy. Casters, especially former players, should be very familiar with how a person can start to come apart mentally, and it's definitely something you can discuss to give a little more context to the mistake you're seeing in someone's play.
yea especially when there are 100k viewers who cling onto every word that you say as if it were a verse straight out of the bible, kinda makes for a misleading image of players and it doesnt help their career in any way
with great power comes great responsibility

Please share, or you just guessing ?

Yea but if it was between him and DRG, I think DRG is owed some good tournament results in 2012. It was a tough group. I'm so happy though <3

That's a circular argument, I can ask the exact same to you.
Though that said, I live in Australia as well and unless you think Gretech is rich enough to have multiple servers to Australia (lol) then well, not point arguing

I don't think you understand. The stream is absolutely abysmal, it has only become so this season, and there is nothing wrong with my connection. I'm in Australia so obviously my internet isn't sensational, but I regularly get 1 MB/s downloads from Steam, Torrents and File hosts. I'm getting something in the region of 2fps and constant dropouts this season.
