Hello everyone!
I'm excited to announce that the Antarctic Cup is back! Following what was an awesome first tournament (Won by EmpireKas, congratulations!), the cup will be moving on over to the North American server this time round. The prize pool has been raised to $300 (massive thanks to those who donated!) and will be split as follows:
1st: $200
2nd: $75
3rd: $25
As for when and where, it will be played on January 29th at 17:00 PST (20:00 EST, 01:00 GMT) and cast by PengWin and Shan the following weekend on the 4th and 5th of February (times TBD).

maybe change the name to the atlantic cup or something like that. cool competition though, looking forward to seeing the signups.

I'm surprised that there is confusion, but I've noted it and I'll be thinking about a better name for #3. Ideas would be appreciated :D

I'm surprise there is confusion, if only because pretty much all of Southeast Asia is above the equator, same as Europe, North America, half of South America and Africa. I think Antarctic Cup is a great name because it is a tournament, a.k.a. cup, and its creator's name is PengWin. It's really that simple.
Either way, I'm so excited to co-cast round 2 of this series! Hope the turnout keeps growing, both in competition and audience :D

Yet again, the Antarctic cup is in the northern hemisphere... I just don't get it. Why not Arctic cup?

Hahahaha imagine how dead it would be, 2 hours to find a 1v1 game and you play vs someone on West antarctic while being in east antarctica...
