Beating Lucky and Choya and playing pretty evenly against asd is pretty impressive. These last two games were not good, but it does not mean he's a bad player. Choya kinda screwed himself over in that game. At the very least we can infer that Illusion does not have much confidence in his TvP and is not willing to play a macro game.

I cannot say what was the reasoning behind his strategies, but I am sure he had sufficient reason behind them to do them in a tournament. First 2 games were unsuccessful, but 3 game at least got him the win. Maybe his TvP is his weakness matchup (likely), but his TvT and TvZ are strong. I only responded because I did not want people to get the impression that Illusion is a bad, cheesy player. He is definitely capable of playing strong macro games.

At any rate, Illusion looks inconsistently both good and bad. Not sure what else to say to be honest.

Havn't seen that from Illusion yet, ofc I havnt seen that much but still. Seems weird to play only all ins vs Incontrol if you know how to play macro tvp, seeing as incontrol isnt that strong. Theres a difference.

GG from there. ![]() On January 29 2012 06:00 Bagration wrote: I cannot say what was the reasoning behind his strategies, but I am sure he had sufficient reason behind them to do them in a tournament. I can understand the point of the tank push on Crossfire, but three times in a row is pushing the boundaries of "sound strategy".
