There is really no reason to not have the finals starting at like 7-8 PM EASTERN time as its still completely fine for western(4-5 PM) and it actually makes sense for eastern time(10 PM start is rather late, let alone HBO/showtime etc is on at this time). It's a BO7 and could easily take 1-3 hours also, which can be really late for going to sleep for work eastern time. Euro's benefit from a more eastern based schedule also so NASL's finals time is quite ridiculous for them. Wait what? East coast time is by far more important than west coast time. Every live event is done by east coast times. Even when the super bowl/nba finals/Monday night football/world series, its done on EST. The reason for shows being later on hbo and showtime has nothing to do with timezones. It has to do with adult content in the shows. Its designed to air at times when children are asleep. Most tv providers have their shows on a delay to fit with those times as weel. So when dexter is on at 9pm est, its also on at 9pm pst.

![]() some decent teamfights in the last match but overall pretty one sided. I am hoping to see another legionnaire picked up in game 3 ![]()

You can set the time back a few hours and it will still be ok for the live audience, while at the same time watchable in Europe. Inconvenient still, but actually watchable.... You and I both can't pretend to know that a slot two hours earlier is even available. There are tons of variables to consider when scheduling a tournament, including the players, casters, live audience, the other finals (HoN in this case), and even other things that we don't know about as spectators.

It could be an hour or two earlier I guess, but I still think Europeans are just complaining about nothing. NA people have to deal with this constantly with the GSL (4 A.M.). A tournament has to cater to its live audience and the people in the other parts of the world have to deal with the fact that not everything will be in their time zone. I had to get up very early to watch some of the best Dreamhack games, and missed part of a college class for the finals. At the end of the day, I realize that the entire world is not structured around my schedule or even my time zone. Difference is that Dreamhack releases VODs for free right after the tourney ends so you can sleep soundly and get the final with your first coffee, breakfast for champions. If I want to watch NASL final tomorrow morning, I gotta pay 10$ for it and if it's crap, I just lost 10$ and my coffee will taste bad. I know it's not much but I don't want to pay 10$ everytime I'm gonna watch a Starcraft final (since I couldn't follow the rest of the tournament). Live stream is free ? Well hit me with VODs and a few ads in between each round, I'll be super happy. As it is right now, as a non paying viewer, I'm just losing interest in NASL. Maybe they don't need euro ad revenue in their business model but that we will only know in the future...and if no one complains about it here, I don't know how they're gonna know it at all - guess I could send them a mail about it but somehow Teamliquid seems the best place to do it....

Hon has some heroes that are directly copied from Dota, kraken however is not one of those. some of his spells are pretty similar, but his ultimate for example is completely new. EDIT: Praetorian is correct, he was a port but got changed a few patches later ![]()

Kraken is similar to Leviathan in DotA, Faceless Void is pretty much a direct port but in HoN he's called Chronos. There are a lot of heroes that are ports but there are some unrelated to DotA as well so even for me who've been playing quite a bit of HoN but been inactive at times it's hard to keep track of all the new heroes S2 are constantly adding into the game.
